Must have mod for me (never played SE, so this is for the classic edition): 1. No Spinning Death Animation: make death animation just ragdoll, no dancing around before fall to the ground. 2. A Quality World Map: show clear roads on skyrim map. 3. Auto-Unequip Ammo: automatically unequip ammo (arrows and bolts) whenever you unequip bows or replace it with other weapon. 4. ELYS Community Uncapper: allow you to tweak skill EXP gain, level EXP gain, perk amount per level, and much more. 5. Dragon Soul Relinquishment: unlocked all shouts and don't know what to do with those extra dragon souls? this mod allow you to convert dragon souls into some useful bonus like perks, shout cooldown reducer, unarmed damage, and others. 6. Left Hand Rings: add rings that can be equipped on your left hand. 7. MoreHUD: add more information when you look at an item. 8. No Poison Dialogue: remove 'apply poison to this weapon?' dialogue. 9. Killable Camp Leader: makes you able to kill imperial/stormcloak camp leaders (which are essential before this mod). 10. Extra Encounters Reborn: increase the random encounters rate.

Fevir I get the feeling you have something against "Immersive citizens ai overhaul". It does everything run for your lives and when vampires attack and so much more. In short it makes npc's act in accordance to their fighting capabilities. For example ordinary civilians will always run and bandits will fight but run at low health and guards fight to the death etc etc.
@VideoFanatic137 жыл бұрын
Also if u install the full version it gives npc's lives. For example the companions will go hunting, npc's that are romantic will go out on dates with each other. Npc's will visit markets and stay at inns overnight. So much more, it really deserves a spotlight I'm shocked you haven't done one for it yet
@Fevir7 жыл бұрын
Immersive citizens is a fine mod- it's reach is pretty large though when looking at behaviours and makes using other behaviour mods a little more tricky
@jeffreysmith27757 жыл бұрын
VideoFanatic13 I'd recommend taking another look at the cons of the mod. I ran across a pretty large thread between Arthmoor and just about every other respected mod author in the community and they had a lot to say. It eats a ton of memory, the author claims they have the best AI but refuses to share, fails to respond to community or release details for patchers
@Fevir7 жыл бұрын
I'll also add that the author gets a lot of flack because of his personality and quasi AI-god complex. So some problems with his mod are exaggerated

Fevir, I've seen a number of your mod reviews and must say, you are terrific at covering mods *from the perspective of actually playing the game with the mod installed*. You really go into detail on *that* level, on the experiential knowledge that is most relevant to a player. *Very few if any* mod reviewers on KZbin do this like you. You should do Skyrim mod reviews more often.

Good stuff Fevir, but should probably title the video "Must have Skyrim Special Edition Mods 2017" instead of "Must have Skyrim Skyrim Mods 2017". I'm a bit sad that these mods are only for Special Edition as I really enjoy my mods with SKSE... So a lot of these are old news for people like me who don't care for special edition.
@Fevir7 жыл бұрын
Hopefully when the SKSE beta pops out in a few months we'll see a lot of overlap. Just think though.. this re-release brings in a new wave of players.. but also modders that hopefully make some rad stuff later.
@JJ24x77 жыл бұрын
True, I look forward to a lot of the mods being ported over for the better scripting engine on Skyrim SE. Only one problem remaining is that there are a lot of older mods that the original authors may have forgotten, given up on, or don't feel like porting. Then it causes issues...

Recommended requirements for skyrim are quad core and gtx 260/hd 4890. For skyrim special edition is gtx 780/r9 290 and fx-8350/i5-2400. So on 750ti you could run the base skyrim on around 60 fps at high/ultra setting and SSE you need to lower it to medium to achieve 30-40 fps. So yeah, there is a huge gap in performance between those two.
@Clemduchateau7 жыл бұрын
Actually the special edition is a lot smoother that the original skyrim. Gopher made a video about it : same system, comparing frame rates. SE does perform better. I do agree with you though that ENBs on the original version made it look better that the special edition. But there will be ENBs for the special edition as well (maybe there are some already, I don't know, I don't use any), so every thing should go back to "normal" ;) I have a "low end" gaming computer (750TI, dual core 3.4GHz, 8Go ram), and special edition runs just as smooth as the original skyrim. I only played a few minutes though, since I can't play without SKYUI and SKSE : i'm just waiting for them ^^

I will never play without the Ordinator perks mod again. I know it's a preference thing, but holy crap it adds so much replayability. The monk I made was so rewarding to level up. Early on I depended on Lydia or whoever to do almost all my fighting for me. Fighting was so friggen hard with just light armor and bare fists, but as I got my light armor skill up to 50 and then 70 and 80 I just got to be a monster. My fire elemental charged fists are bad ass. Now I'm hanging with frost trolls and blood dragons with no more effort than I would with a paladin type character. Restoration (for the offensive and healing auras), Light Armor and bare fists has never been so much fun. I feel like I'm a Diablo 3 style monk. Now I'm working on a World of Warcraft style Hunter, and it's so much fun just playing an archer in vanilla Skyrim, that adding the ability to drop bear traps and tame wild animals to fight as my companions is just a total blast. Can't wait to make a real bard next, the speech skills that make this possible look great. Add in a little bit of destruction, light armor and one-handed and this character could actually be not only a distinctly unique way to play but a lot of fun, too. Bards are a hard class to get right, but Ordinator has made real efforts towards making this possible. Also the heavy armor tree's conjuration boosts look great for making a death knight. Kudo's to whoever made the ordinator perks mod, they really put some time and effort into bringing back a bunch of old school Elder Scrolls classes, as well as prominently identifying other traditional classes played in other RPGs. Before, I was always playing some vague warrior with healing abilities, or a kind of sorta rogue with destruction, or a wizard that could smith, but now with all the new perks added into trees that make sense (no new trees added, just all new perks to enhance the old) I know exactly what I'm working towards and what how that's going to aide me in my overall development of my character.

For people who are having Error Code 5 for SkyUI, it's not compatible with 60 FPS Interface. Both of these mods are recommended in this video so I'm sure some people will encounter this issue. SkyUI already makes your UI 60fps so the other mod is now redundant.

To skip the carriage ride, when making new characters, create a save file just before you are given the character edit screen. When you want to start a new character just load that file. If you go with Raloph, after getting the key off the commander (dont let Raloph have it) he will stand near the gate waiting for you to open it. At this time you can get exp. and level up your skills by attacking him as much as you like. I personally like to take this time to max out sneaking if nothing else.

Of all the immersive mods out there, i'm quite sad to see that Coins of Tamriel get's the short end of the stick. It's an simple mod, but it greatly increases immersion by changing the usual gold piece for copper, silver and gold septims. It completly rewrites the economy in Skyrim to fit an more believeble format by having different kinds of coin with different values, and you can choose the size and weight of the coins. Plus, in more recent versions there ancient coins too, found in dungeons, crypts and dwemer dwellings.
