MUST KNOWS about Evergreen Colorado [EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW]

There is ice fishing on Evergreen Lake. You will see them put up small tents to stay warm in or they they’’ll just dig a hole in the ice & sit on their chair & drop their line down. Sone winters, I've seen over 10 different people with their lines in their holes & fishing for hrs. After they leave, the holes are still left open, so if you want to try it ice fishing, but you’re not sure how to cut a hole, then just find one already open. But, please test the ice before walking on it & make sure it’s real solid in all areas you walk on. Enjoy ice fishing at our lake & then cook what you caught.

Hello guys, I know this video is 2 years old but I had to comment on it after I came across it. Anyways I grew up in Evergreen in the 80’s-90’s and 2000’s and it has shocked me on the growth from having mostly dirt streets in the neighborhoods in the 80’s and starting in the mid 90’s started building the neighborhoods in the Bergen park area, and then the 2000’s hit started getting franchises which put a lot of local business out of business. The old abandoned cabin you mentioned on the lake use to be the skate rental house and yes ice fishing is common. My parents finally left in 2016 stating it was overcrowded and traffic was horrible. I’m not sure if totally agree with them I visited last summer and kind of drove around a took a look @ Bergen elementary and the Jr. high School and funny they now have grass growing when as kids dirt was the field and there were dangerous playground equipment ah the 80’s were a wild time. Downtown has really taken off

​@YourCoreFamily I moved to Evergreen in mid 60's Lived up the mtn. On 10 acres, a log home, With perfect view of the lake, and bordering Dedise Park, before four lanes and traffic. I miss it still...but my occasional return visits, through the years were an eyeopener...and kind of sad...

Evergreen is a predominantly white community, but other races are definitely represented. We lived in Evergreen for 20 years and have only been away for the last two. We lived across the road from a black man the entire time we were there. He is still living there 🙂Never heard him speak of any negative experiences. There are several mixed families in the area that I am aware of also. In all of our time there, I never witnessed any racism at all. Honestly, income can be more of a reason for division in certain circles, than ethnicity. Maybe take a few drives up there, get out and visit a few shops downtown, maybe a restaurant or two...and get a feel for it. I think you will be pleasantly surprised. Feel free to ask questions too. Evergreen Crafters is a nice store and the employees are super friendly and love to answer questions about the town. Beau Jo's has a great relaxed atmosphere..it's a pizza place 🙂 and Baskin Robbins is just fun. The lake is awesome and a wonderful place to meet a lot of locals, especially during the week. In nicer weather there are always people out and about. Generally it is a very, very nice place to live. We live in a cute southern Colorado mountain town now, but I will always have VERY fond memories of Evergreen. Hope this helps a little.

My wife wants to see Tyler Childers at Red Rock. Last time we visited Colorado our car was broken into in Aurora at a hotel near the airport and we were left stranded at the mercy of a mechanic to fix our doors and ignition column. As this would be only my second experience in Colorado as an adult, I do not want the same experience as Aurora. Do you think we will be safe in Evergreen? I am booking a cabin from, The Cabins At Country Road.

You might consider adding crime statistics when talking about real-estate and maybe how influential tourist traffic is or can be especially if someone is looking for a more off the beaten path type living situation. Loved the video -

A few suggestions, number 1 I would stand back quite a bit from the camera so that the scenery you're showing isn't so blocked by your bodies. Keep in mind your audience is primarily here for Colorado and not the listing agents. Number 2, show us more what you're talking about rather then telling us. You can benefit from cutting to B Roll footage more often rather than just awkwardly beaming at the camera when 1 of you aren't talking. The focus should be you guys being a gateway to Colorado rather than us picturing it for ourselves keep the audience focused on your video. It's a pretty scenic environment I'm pretty sure you can get a lot of good shots and even if you can't there's plenty of drone or stock footage online to fill in the blanks. Number 3 invest in your equipment the backdrop behind you could've benefited from different focal lengths to emphasize what you're talking about. Maybe for wide a 24mm pancake lens for the environment with a ND CPL Filter to minimize glare & reflection and a nice 67mm thread 18-135mm Zoom lens for multiple focal lengths. 2 great lenses and all you need honestly. Number 4 and most importantly.... 4k it would definitely make you guys stand out from other agencies using 4k UHD or HDR quality I typically see a trend of Colorado Realtors using only 1080p60 or worse which is important to emphasize the detail in what you're showing. Not trying to be harsh or nothing like what you guys do just would like to offer some productive ideas. 💯 👌🏽
