You only have to look at Irelands Eurovision 2024 entry to see how they have lost the plot. Ireland didnt care about human rights in the north of its own Island,placing a media ban on sinn Fein who had a right to fightback against the British Injustice. Even today a British Prime minister has to give consent for a referendum on a United Ireland,of course culturally its not even a nation.
