What is the difference between "catch" and "arrest"? - Dinushi Wickramathunga
@ANDYSMITH-ot4ot
@ANDYSMITH-ot4ot 8 ай бұрын
To "catch" someone means you find someone doing something that they shouldn't really be doing (normally). However it can be used to say you found someone doing something. example "I caught someone stealing my bike" (he was commiting an illegal act when I saw him), or "I caught him reading a newspaper yesterday" (when I saw him he was reading a newspaper). Arrest means you are officially and legally detained by a police officer or someone with the power to legally detain you, like private security.

Question - What is more important LAW or Mandatory ? , example in the store at the door is bord ( mask is mandatory or in the gym you have to shaw paper experimental vaccine !)
@ANDYSMITH-ot4ot
@ANDYSMITH-ot4ot 8 ай бұрын
Mandatorty means it is an obligation of the store, however it is NOT a law. A law is something imposed by the government which is a legal obligation.

i don't understand the difference between workout and exercise
@ANDYSMITH-ot4ot
@ANDYSMITH-ot4ot 8 ай бұрын
"to workout" means to do do exercise like when you go to the gym. Exercise is the noun and the verb. "I go to the gym to exercise", really "to workout" and "to exercise" mean the same thing.

"Have to" implies an external agent "you have to clean your room", (someone is making you do it). However, "must" represents and intrinsic agent where you want to do something, for example, " I must clean my room (because I want to). In British English both are completely interchangable.
