I doubt many Australians understand what the term "Raisina" means, let alone where it is. But our perspective is broadening. Penny Wong is superb, not quite at Jaishanka level but still very good. I'm not sure why Indians would doubt Australian support, there are differing perspectives but overall common interest is very very strong.

" Preparing for a GLOBAL Workplace " as stated by Dr SJ. Good Point ! The MOOT Question is this : HOW Can an Anglophone Nation like India PREPARE its' HUGE Population of Youth ( 65% Below the Age of 35 and 50% Below the Age of 25 ) for the " Global Workplace " When a Large MAJORITY are Unable to String a Proper Sentence in ENGLISH which is the Language of BUSINESS ? IF Dr SJ Could Convince The Indian Central Govt to FOCUS on this IMPERATIVE , Indian Youth CAN Make a MASSIVE Contribution to a ' Population Starved Global Workplace ' 🙄

The same way labour supply is created for domestic corporates which also uses English at the workplace. The labor demand pushes for the supply. Every market is created like that. All of urban education in India is in English this includes tier 2 and tier 3 cities as well. If it is simply proficiency in English, India has a far greater advantage than other countries in the Global South. I’ve studied in mixed ethnic settings and I know this for a fact.

@InamNahi I beg to differ Sir. I have 35 Years of Professional Experience in India and I am APPALLED by the Poor English Language Skills of The Current Cohort of "labour " ! @@matthewjoseph7671By your logic more of them should then be in the American workforce. Is that the case? Or they should be inviting as many American businesses if not more. Is that the case then? There are many factors at play. Other than Indians (who are proficient in English), Latin American immigrants make up a significant part of the US corporate work force who are infact not proficient in English - but they learn and adapt. Calm down and stop obsessing over this like it’s a massive deal breaker. If I were you - I’d focus more on skilling than English proficiency. Like I said, when there is demand, there is incentive to create the necessary supply and it’ll find its way.

You have always insisted on the right to determine the composition of your own people. Australia wants that right now. What you are attempting to do now, Japan attempted after the last war [the First World War] and was prevented by Australia. Had we opened New Guinea and Australia to Japanese immigration then the Pacific War by now might have ended disastrously and we might have had another shambles like that experienced in Malaya. - Doc Evatt
