This is really good news, for Biden. Biden needs to remove the conservative judges from SCOTUS immediately, if he can’t remove them, he can keep them from entering the court building, at least. So even if it’s challenged, the conservatives won’t be able to get inside the building. They don’t believe Biden would do that, and that’s why it will work. In fact, if Biden doesn’t do this then the coup is complete. This is a GIFT. What SCOTUS is going to do if they aren’t neutralized before the election is someone will challenge the validity of the election. SCOTUS will stay the certification while they “consider” this. And just like the immunity case they’ll drag their feet long enough for the rule to kick in that then throws the election back to the state legislatures, and the swing states are controlled by Republicans/MAGA. So we know how that will end. Biden must do this. And it wouldn’t hurt if he officially declared that from this point forward the electoral college is done and the presidential election will be decided like every other election. By popular vote. Biden could use this time to blow up Project 25. Face it, if Pence had done his “job” last time (and delayed the certification) it would have worked. And the saddest part is that absolutely nothing has been done in the last 3.5 years to prevent that exact same thing from happening again. This time the delay will be in SCOTUS’ hands and we’ve seen how adept they are at that. Biden must act. Now. If not, then whether Joe wins or not, Trump will be installed in the manner I’ve suggested and there’s not a damned thing we can do about it. Biden must act NOW or democracy is over. Everything else is just a distraction.

So we who wants democracy to stand have to vote. We need to get word out. If you know ppl that can vote but aren't able to because they don't have a way to the poll take them. We need every vote now more than ever to protect the US.

Now for reality...Trump will get probation. He'll be considered a first-time offender. I'd love to see him go to jail, but it isn't going to happen. I've said for the longest time the Mar-a-Lago case, the GA case, and the insurrection case will never go to court. Evvvvvvvvvverrrrrrr. Trump will never spend a day in jail. Best you can do is sell your assets and leave the US. The toilet has been flushed and the water is swirling down the drain.

Publication Information 1982 Abstract The Supreme Court theorized absolute immunity for the President must be found in the separation of powers doctrine. Because of the broad range and sensitive nature of the President's responsibilities, his constant visibility, and the judicial deference he has historically been accorded, the Court concluded in Nixon v. Fitzgerald that civil damages suits would unduly distract the President from his official duties. Furthermore, because the President's actions can affect innumerable people, the Court feared the scrutiny inherent in civil damages suits would be overly intrusive. Accordingly, the Court considered it too difficult to align a particular result with one of the President's innumerable decisions; therefore, the Court adopted the rule from Barr v. Matteo, that acts done within the “outer perimeter” of official capacity deserve immunity from civil damages. However, the notion that absolute immunity has placed the President above the law is a misconception for he still may be subject to impeachment, and to mandamus, injunctions, and subpoena duces tecum in criminal trials, as well as being amenable to civil suits when acting beyond the outer perimeter of his official capacity. 1982 Supreme Court William J. you seem to forget, the SC GAVE the presidency to GW Bush by stopping the recount in FL. Gore won FL. the SC used their authority and denied the votes of millions of voters. thus began their march to dictatorship. trump fit the job perfectly. just last week they ruled that taking bribes was not illegal. because the SC has been outed for taking bribes and "gratuities" from rich donors to put forth their agendas. there is no longer the rule of law in America anymore. we have devolved into a banana republic. it's gonna take a lot more than just voting blue to set things right. they will not accept an election in which they lose. we're in for the fight of our lives. stand by, my fellow Americans. the fascists are already here, and they've infiltrated our society and our government. it's not an accident, it's by careful, meticulous design.

Many Americans do not follow Scotus. And, people are just burnt out and worn down, which is one of the tactics used with Authoritarians. They did this on the last day on purpose, as if to say F off America. It's TREASONOUS, in my humble estimation., but I was not surprised.

Biden has done more in his time in office than I expected of him, even though I agree that he hasn't gone far enough in my opinion. It can’t be used for whatever we think is against our beliefs. “Treason is defined on the federal level in Article III, Section 3 of the United States Constitution as "only in levying War against [the United States], or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort." Most state constitutions include similar definitions of treason, specifically limited to levying war against the state, "adhering to the enemies" of the state, or aiding the enemies of the state, and requiring two witnesses or a confession in open court. Fewer than 30 people have ever been charged with treason under these laws.

Brennan, Jr. 10/16/1956-07/20/1990 Potter Stewart 10/14/1958-07/03/1981 Byron "Whizzer" Raymond White 04/16/1962-07/28/1993 Thurgood Marshall 10/02/1967-10/01/1991 Warren Earl Burger, Chief Justice 06/23/1969-09/26/1986 Lewis F. Powell, Jr. 01/07/1972-06/26/1987 William H. Rehnquist 01/07/1972-09/26/1986 William H. Rehnquist - Chief Justice 09/26/1986-09/03/2005 John Paul Stevens 12/19/1975-06/29/2010 Sandra Day O'Connor 09/25/1981-01/31/2006 Antonin Scalia 09/26/1986-02/13/2016 Anthony M. Kennedy 02/18/1988-07/31/2018 Johnson signed the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965. These actions led to heavy opposition from Southern Democrats. Following the passage of civil rights legislation, many white southerners switched to the Republican Party at the national level.

You won’t believe this! It was the DEMOCRATS on the Supreme Court that pushed for Executive Immunity! The Republicans Dissented!!! U.S. Supreme Court Barr v. Matteo, 360 U.S. 564 (1959) Barr v. Matteo No. 350 Argued April 20, 1959 Decided June 29, 1959 360 U.S. 564 The history of the privileges conferred upon the three branches of Government is a story of uneven development. Absolute legislative privilege dates back to at least 1399. [Footnote 2/2] This privilege is given to Congress in the United States Constitution [Footnote 2/3] and to State Legislatures in the Constitutions of almost all of the States of the Union. [Footnote 2/4] The absoluteimmunity arising out of Judicial proceedings existed at least as early as 1608 in England. [Footnote 2/5] MR. CHIEF JUSTICE WARREN, with whom MR. JUSTICE DOUGLAS joins, dissenting. The principal opinion in this case purports to launch the Court on a balancing process in order to reconcile the interest of the public in obtaining fearless executive performance and the interest of the individual in having redress for defamation. Even accepting for the moment that these are the proper interests to be balanced, the ultimate disposition is not the result of a balance. On the one hand, the principal opinion sets up a vague standard under which no government employee can tell with any certainty whether he will receive absolute immunity for his acts. On the other hand, it has not given even the slightest consideration to the interest of the individual who is defamed. It is a complete annihilation of his interest. Warren was a Republican! The Democrats were the ones who pushed Immunity. Talk about coming back to bite you in the …………

@@DianeSchoeneck60 That was very informative. And agreeable when, that president is doing that one thing that falls under the, " duties", of the president. Which, all the things you listed about Johnson, etc. is, directly related to presidential duties. Just because a president makes a speech while he's president, doesn't mean the speech is presidential. Just because a president, writes a personal check while sitting in the oval office, doesn't mean it was meant for honorable transactions. This is, why immunity cannot be total, at all. Trumps little phrase, I could shoot someone on 5th ave, and not lose a voter, doesn't mean he couldn't be prosecuted for murder. This is why trump is guilty of all the things he's accused of. And 0 immunity, should be used as defense. Impeachment or not. Because impeachment, though done by elected officials, would or could be biased. Strictly on the account of politics. Not fact based, like a jury of peers would be. As is shown by this supreme Court. Thankfully, the biggest percentage of judges, are honest. And don't bend the law for their buddies. Who offer bribes of any form. This is why there needs to be a reshuffling of our judicial system. A changing of the so-called guard. When corruption, enters a system and there is no oversight to that corruption, that system is useless.

I posted this to someone else but it fits here too: 👍🏻 I’m an Independent lean Democrat and I’m currently on page 68 of Project 2025 reading it to try and get a foothold into what exactly the “plan” is if trumpo wins. It’s difficult reading in some parts (like lawyer speak reading) but I’m chugging along. Funnily enough I have no clue how they expect trump to enact “the plan” when trump himself speaks complete 180 from what they want to do on some major ideas. They speak of equality for all and following the constitution (it seems a huge point for them) which trump doesn’t seem to want, he’d gleefully tear it up. They have some good ideas and some not so good ideas but I’m in the very beginning of the tome (it’s 920 pages long)….

Also wanted to add: Project 2025 has been around since Reagan, he got the original huge collection of “‘ideas” he implemented 60% during his terms, each republicans after has implemented smaller and smaller ideas from “the plan”. With the next republicans president they will pounce and try to get every single idea enacted, trump they seem to think would be an easy mark to get their ideas in. I’m not so sure that is going to work since trump listens to NO One, he thinks he is smarter than everyone else on Earth. This is both good and bad, good because he is easily distracted (throw him a cheeseburger and golf clubs and he’s busy for hours!) Bad because he is the type to do whatever he wants regardless of advisors, be that good for America or bad.

I guess it isn't only those you want but shows Democrats are guilty of Corruption . BTW how many of left & right are being arrested & charged across USA for Voting Corruption --- As of last w/e no people on right but over 100 Democrats & some even in areas run by Democrats .
