Is the whole Harry Potter area restricted? When I last visited you could come and go as you please

The area is still open! The time frames are only for the rides themselves, but you can still walk around and check out the gift shops and other attractions.

Yes, you can! We had a friend that lined up with us on for the Harry Potter ride, but decided not to ride it midway through the line, so they were able to leave the line.

Thank you! And nope, you don't need to buy an extra ticket. You can just line up same as the other rides.
