He was very much different than Chicago politicians. I kept my eye on him. What turned me away from him. Prior to him running for president. There was a news conference outside of the Kennedys estate, Ted Kennedy, his niece, and Obama. In the end, they all turned and walked inside with Ted Kennedys arm around Obama shoulder. Obama is half Kenyan but he grew up with his white mother and white grandparents so he never identified as “Black” until recently. Hence why he later expressed his regrets about Gaddafi.
