That thing is such a beauty. The head-on view is superb, but the side profile @ 22:33 - 22:53 is exceptional and you can just almost visibly see how radar waves would split in half as they come in from the side and half would go under and fade into another direction and the other half would skim across the top and do the same thing. That ridge line that's halfway through the center fuselage from the air intakes all the way to the tip of the radome is exactly for that purpose. It splits that plain and causes that deflection instead of a round and even surface that would cause an immediate bounce-back. Even PAK-FA and the Chinese birds have mimicked that feature so it must work! Good stuff!

viktor drozd 1) Да, absolultely. 2) Что это такое, что делает завтрак? 3) Безусловно, мой друг. Но нам нужно поговорить о том, как полезно это дерьмо. My friend, despite my username, I am American but I've loved (and still love) the history of Russian aviation history and have a special affinity for the 21. I also admire very much the T-50 and believe it will be very lethal. But let's not take away from this F-22 Raptor just because we are fans of one side or the other only. I am an "Aviation" fan first, regardless of country and that makes me very open and objective. I can guarantee you the F-22 can do somersaults, pancakes triple 360 it can bring down the hole kitchen! lmao! :D But someday, in this BVR day and age and the extent of how advanced countermeasures are, most kills are and still will be within visual range but with short range missiles and not cannons so all these cobras and pancakes etc really don't have a significant role in aerial combat. Cobra is the worst thing to do in a dogfight. You did a cobra while I was in a 21 a would shoot your but down in a second. That's only a breaking move when being chased and the F-14 was doing that back in the 70's! It's all about technology now.

This thing is a work of art. Like a skillfully cut diamond. If you notice no seams. As smooth as glass. If you look at the pak Fa or T50 up close just the opposite. The pak Fa has exposed rivets exposed antennas uneven surfaces and other negative aspects demonstrating inferior build quality that makes it many times less stealthy than the F22. Also the Russians have yet to produce even a prototype of an engine that would allow the T50 to supercruise like the F22. Some say it could be until 2025 before they acquire the technology. The T50 just doesn't come close to matching the F22. It's more of a propaganda tool than anything else

No aircraft, old or new is "prefect", and glitches like this happen occasionally. Obviously it wasn't a disaster, or he wouldn't have flown. And... I live in Anchorage, Alaska, where these planes fly over my house every day, year round, and in ALL kinds of weather. Anyone who thinks that this aircraft is "full of problems", or "can't fly in wet weather", etc., simply doesn't know what they're talking about.

Agreed. Most of the “super reliable” planes that everyone compares the F22 and F35 to have been around since the 1960s and 70s, which means that we’ve had almost half of a century to iron out all of their problems. The F22 is still pretty new, and is already seeing upgrades.

+LVestly That rain damages stealth could be true, but about the B-2 crashing had nothing to do with stealth. The investigation stated the B-2 crashed after "heavy, lashing rains" caused water to enter skin-flush air-data sensors, which feed angle of attack and yaw data to the computerized flight-control system. The water distorted pre-flight readings in three of the plane's 24 sensors, causing the flight-control system to send an erroneous correction to the B-2 on takeoff. The B-2 quickly stalled, became unrecoverable, and crashed. The sensors measure environmental factors including air pressure and density, for data to calculate airspeed, altitude and attitude. Because of the faulty readings, the flight computers determined inaccurate airspeed readings and incorrectly indicated a downward angle for the aircraft, which contributed to an early rotation and an un-commanded 30-degree pitch up and left yaw, resulting in the stall.

@hoaxial20904 жыл бұрын
The ejection sequence blows the canopy off and the the seat ( that is on rockets) shoots the pilot out and the seat contains a few key survival items so once he/ she lands, they can be sufficient for a short amount of time. The parachute is in the seat.

See what people do not realize. The reason that they will not sell the Raptor To any other country. Is because of it's Cryptography Capabilities. that is a fancy way of saying. That it can go invisible. I do believe it is like holographic cloaking. See how the canopy is metallic looking. That is so the canopy goes invisible also. With the rest of the plane. I have always had a thing. for jet fighter planes. So I know a little bit about them.
