I spent one day in Chicago. I took the Amtrack train from Mattoon Station to Chicago Union Station. The round trip was $ 44. I left at 5:20 am and returned at 10:30 pm. A very profitable trip that I recommend to everyone, especially on a budget. This video shows the attractions that can be seen in one day in Chicago. In the morning I went towards Millennium Park and from there I set off north of Chicago, going towards RiverWalk. On the way I passed the Chicago Institute of Art, the ticket price is $ 17-25 (always a nice option to visit). Navy Pier was my next stop and this is MUST VISIT THING WHILE IN CHICAGO !! Great atmosphere, people, food and alcohol. It's a place for local breweries and meeting places. In addition, there is a small amusement park and all this located near a beautiful marina and a maritime pier. Going deeper into the city I planned to visit the biggest Starbucks in the world but unfortunately the queue was too long. The time limit here has turned gray. I decided to go to the Lincoln Park ZOO for the first time, which is also free. You can make a small donation to the zoo at the entrance, it's up to you. They accept credit and debit cards if you don't have cash. The zoo itself is a great thing to see. That day, the weather made all the animals tired. I definitely recommend this place. If you don't want to walk as much as I do (I did about 20km that day) then there is an alternative to using the metro. The lines are stretched all over the city so it's easy to get from place to place. You can buy a one-day ticket.
By far the best place I visited was the Terrace on the Trump International Tower. Something amazing and it's FREE! I recommend it very heartily !! This place was also recommended by one of my viewers. Could Gate or "Szikagowska Bean" is of course a MUST !!!! Everyone who is here must shoot a Feta with this sculpture! Yes it is a sculpture !!
A very successful day in a beautiful city. It was a pity for me to come back. I would like to live there someday ...
