Yeah he learned some defense in this last fight because look how he was embarrassed in the first fight. He thought fighting Canelo was going to be like fighting any of these other guys and in the rematched he learned that to be able to make himself look more convincing he needed that defense in his arsenal. Usually Paulie is on point but he's wrong. I have 7 rounds to 5 and I'll gladly post the rounds. The difference I saw was the body work. Especially mid fight when GGG was damn near keeling from the body work. Unlike most judges and casual fans, I also judge defense. I had it Canelo 115-113 and I had GGG last time.

How is that him having something against Canelo for saying Brook is more athletic, Brook is more athletic. Brooks a Welterweight who has faster feet, Brook has the ability to counter while moving back and can leap in and out quickly. Brook is more mechanical with his combinations, while Canelo is alot more smooth. Canelo is a way better fighter but not more athletic. Canelo is a lot better defensively with his upper body movement, Brook weakness is his defense. Brooks only form of defense is his clinching, pivoting and smothering of shots. Canelo's form of defense is head movement, upperbody movement, slipping and rolling with punches or blocking punches. I do feel Malignaggi has an agenda against Canelo and has said on countless video's Canelo has always been a cheat. The same agenda he will always have against Pacquaio.

Regardless of what you think of the result, if you listen to this argument, they essentially are both saying Golovkin won but Spencer is giving reasons for why he thinks the judges gave it Canelo. "More eyecatching shots", "doesn't matter if he was outboxed", "who looked cut more"... All valid points but the judges are there to score boxing not showiness. Golovkin did outbox Canelo. Canelo did have a more audience-friendly style. They BOTH are incredible boxers with immense chins. But you're there to score on boxing and Golovkin won on that score. Physical wear counts very little, but it does count when you consider the accumulated effects of more power shots. More power shots, dictating the tone of the fight, higher land %, and cleaner more effective punches, and then finally the physical wear > more jabs without a knockout in my opinion. Especially when your own corner believes you are behind and you only land about 4-5 more jabs per round when your opponent's landing 2-3 more power shots per round. No one factor makes you the winner but when you start to stack categories it does. Other fighter's Mike Tyson, Errol Spence Jr., Charlo, Marco Antonio Barrerra, Floyd Mayweather Sr., Andre Ward etc., aren't blowing Canelo because they feel he won. They objectively watched him stack the categories. It no need in asking Paulie about any Canelo fight unless it's a complete blowout. I understand his gripes having the peds cloud, but he's clearly not going to see a nod in Canelo's favor as a fair shake. & somebody please tell Paulie that you don't have to win 7 rounds. Technically all you have to win is 1 and tie the rest. You only have to win 1 more round than your opponent. Please tell him that. His "6 rd. max" is enough for a win if he tied 1 or 2 others., right?

Good point that Golovkin's back rarely touched the ropes, won the jab battle, threw more punches, and defended well, but Alvarez was the aggressor, he controlled the ring, Golovkin was not backing up voluntarily, and Alvarez, round by round, landed the cleaner, harder, more toll taking power shots, worked the body well. Fight was a draw in my opinion, can't complain about Alvarez getting it close, especially an MD.
