At 7:28 you can see my aunt's face in the mural. She is the one with blue eyes and blonde hair standing behind a lady holding a bouquet of flowers.

Did she take you to the building that got shot up by the revolutionary soldiers in 1910? It is kind of crazy they left the bullet holes in the building.

The building you were in in the middle of the video is actually the State House. You walked right by the governor's office on the second floor. City Hall is the building to the left as you walked in the State House.

Here is a message from my husband. "Hi guys, we're enjoying your videos about Aguascalientes because we've been considering it for a place to settle down when we move from BC Canada to Mexico in the spring. We lived in Lake Chapala for about a year, then returned to Canada, but this time we bought one way tickets and plan to retire somewhere in Mexico for good. Ajijic is becoming too expensive for our limited pensions. It would be helpful to learn more about how life looks from an expats point of view, particularly from a Canadian or American. The different neighborhoods that are most suitable and also, places where you can hang out and meet other expats. What would a decent two bedroom one bathroom place go for in one of these gringo neighborhoods close to central (since we wouldn't have a car) go for. Is there any kind of music scene going on where musicians, like myself, have the opportunity to play. Gringo clubs or coffee houses, restaurants and that sort of thing? We only know a little bit of Spanish, but have a high-end translator (almost real-time) and plan to work hard at learning the language as soon as we can. From your experience, do you think that would be good enough to get by in that city? We appreciate your efforts in sharing this information. Cheers and Happy New Year to you both.. G & T"

Thank you so much for watching our video! I agree, Ajijic is SUPER expensive! Those are excellent questions! We aren’t able to really answer those questions too well, however we do intend on definitely going back and learning more about Ags. I would recommend for now, that you join the Expats in Aguascalientes Facebook group. They may be able to answer your questions better!

I'm glad that Brittany pointed out the many handicapped accessible ramps and things in the city, I noticed that myself, first time seeing them in any videos. The city hall building, how cool standing in a structure that old! They allow cock fighting? The murals tell an interesting story. I had no idea that there was a Japanese population there. Beautiful boveda ceilings. Flavia is great, looking forward to Part 2!

I did enjoy this video very much. Britney, how many Monster beverages do you consume daily.. Do educate yourself on it's contents and in turn, their effects on one's health. I had a Nurse colleague of mine who drank 4-5 /day and developed acute renal failure after about 4 months.. It took her several months to recover. Resulting in permanent kidney damage... Just Sayin. Cheers, Mate.

Well, we think that she did a great job for someone who's not getting paid and was just trying to be kind enough to share her knowledge with us and others.
