The steam dumpling stuffings are bamboo shoot (nor-mai หน่อไม้), chives (guei-chai กุยช่าย), and jicama (män-geaw มันแกว). Guys.. it is customary to seasoning your food here in Thailand. That’s why we have the sauce for almost everything. The set of condiments on the table in all noodle shops (no matter how spicy/tasty the noodle from that shop is). Even the Thai fast food like the rice topped with the dishes (curry, stirred fried dishes, fired eggs etc, you tried that kind of shop in your vdo) there will be a small cup of fishsauce with chilli/garlic and hint of lime served with your plate of rice. This is because everyone has different liking. Unlike western food, we don’t care if you put more seasoning in the dish we make.
@ChovyTravel2 ай бұрын
I know, right!? We were such noobies! 😩🤦 We learned our lesson to always use the sauce the vendors provide. You’re absolutely right! Totally makes sense! Appreciate you sharing with us! ❤️❤️🫰🫰
@toofartooreality89392 ай бұрын
@@ChovyTravel I know. We (my husband and I) lived in the US for 10 years or so. When I eat western food, I normally put only salt and pepper and it seems ok to me. My husband always looks for a sauce to dip still. He never gets used to eating food without the sauce. What I normally do is eating food without the sauce first. Then with the sauce. Sometimes we even seasoning the sauce provided because we kinda know it would better if so.

23:35 i think she misunderstood the word "auo-pai" to 'tao-rai' (how much), so that's why she answered "80 baht". Aou-pai is the literal translation of the word 'take(auo)' and 'away(pai)'. Instead, Thais usually use the word 'auo-sai-toong' (put in a bag) or 'auo-grap-baan' (take back home) when you want a takeout. I hope this helps you understand more. ❤ Ps. Very good choice. To be honest, some street foods are better than foos in restaurants.
they oiled the dumpling to prevent it from sticking, as the outer skin of the dumpling is made with rice flour or tapioca flour, its kindly like korean coat the dumpling with sesame oil... they have a few variant for the ingredient, chives or garlic chives, bamboo shoots and chinese turnip..

Hopefully we can reach 10K soon because we have something really special for Thailand/Thai People. I know it’s far fetched but we’re still hopeful we can get there. @@ChovyTravel We live in Arizona. I grew up in So Cal. One tip for Thai food is most of the food Thai people eat with a sauce. There’s a sauce for almost every food. When you eat a sausage, always chase it down with cabbage or ginger. It makes it taste way better.

OMG that dumplings you ate at 05.00 ‘re called Gui-Chaii and it made from Chinese chives (and that’s is the name of that veggie in Thai derived by Chaozhou Chinese cuisine) and nowadays applied with taro or bamboo shoots and I can guarantee u when we eat whatever kind of these things we must dip with the black sauce that must come together or pour it all over them.😅

5:35 there are 2 ways to eat that, 1. eat raw with the black sauce but small bite and dipping on it, 2. Fry them to crispy and slice each bite with dipping the black sauce. But I love eating this when they're fried, they're totally different thing, you need to try! 6:45 this is GOOD! I can tell from the portion size with price only 25 baht 8:40 OMG the color of the soup is telling how delicious they are 11:37 If they used Cha Tra Mue brand then the taste should be awesome. BTW you can order your sweetness, I recommend to cut the sugar off and tell her to use only condense milk so the tea should be concentrated with creamy taste but not just overly sweet 26:29 You should give 10.5/10 if you've done this lol 39:10 Thai ppl are usually going out after the sunset for this kind of places (80%) but another reason is this place is located in the mall which is everywhere so there aren't many ppl compare to the food stalls lol I love all of your videos and I've already subscribed your channel Next video you should do the pharmacy tour, that would be awesome.
