@@JKPhotoNZ yeah, the fermented durian has a very strong smell, I tried that in Kelantan once and I don’t like that but the soup is very tasty and unique to me, just the fish bone is annoying.

The word "kolok" is a local slang to mean to shake vigoriously. Other than the noodle, we also have the "kolok" game (main kolok - using dice) and also the "manuk kolok" (turkey).

@@Follow_ussg, I think Ibans adopted it as a slang to mean “shake vigorously”. 😄 I believe it’s adapted from the Hakka word itself. That’s why it is used in other ways (dice game and naming of the turkey 🦃).

Gday Jim and Shaun Once again a great range of food. When travelling to any asian country . I go by pictures mainly . As I have no idea what's in the ingredients. And the language barrier can be a challenge 😁 As long as I do not see a mushroom or peanut I would just point and say that one . Great to know the coffee is awesome there 😀
