I'm glad you got to go back with Satoshi and you guys had a good time. The oysters in the lemon butter looked so good. And having a lemon flavored cake with oysters does kinda makes scents. Back in 2010 I visited Japan for 3 weeks, and it was a life changing experience. I visited Hiroshima and Miyajima, it was my favorite. A city that endured that only one else has and rebuilt in a region of beautiful land and waters. I probably sound silly to others from that place, that just take these things for granted. But its true.

If you return to Miyajima, I recommend walking up the Misen Mountain Path Omoto Course 弥山登山道 大元コース . Walk past the Miyajima Aquarium and the entrance is in Omoto Park 大元公園. Lots of small shrines and amazing boulder formations on this trail. I remember I walked it around January 2014, and I started after lunch time, didn't return to the ferry until around 7pm.

The oyster momoji manju is a most intriguing combination i expect the reason it tasted so good to you guys was that sweet/salty effect (I'm not sure if you like it or not but like french-fries dipped in ice cream or choco potato chips) I'm pretty sure I've never had oyster but seeing you two try it in different forms here makes me wish I could hop over and try it for sure.
