If you love your seafood, do visit the Mina Fish Souk. A bustling air-conditioned market that totes a bunch of fresh marine fare. Choose your pick from the market and take it to a stall to cook to your preference. We opted to dine at a restaurant that in addition to a fish stall also had a display on premise. The sea bream came recommended as did the sea prawns, marinated in a spicy Egyptian paste. And the sort that made for a delicious lunch with some refreshing salads, dips and bread, warm from the oven.

Boss ‘s yes for the seafood is candid 👌👌 Excellent to watch the Chef explain the process of cooking the fish . Beautiful presentation of the marine dishes . Boss is so happy with her veggie dishes 😀 You are thoroughly enjoying the seafood fare and the Aubergine with Tahini . Was it a green chilli or Jalapeño? Now comes the main dishes . The Egyptian brown rice is different from the Indian version . Oh the Seabreem is akin to India’s black Pomfret . Time to indulge in the delicious Prawns 🍤 dish . Jyo is a true food guide . Not quite, although the terms are often interchangeably used. Strictly speaking, here's a quick explanation that I gleaned from research online. "Shrimp have one pair of legs that include claws at the end, but prawns have three pairs with claws. Prawns also tend to have legs that are a bit longer in relation to the size of the body than shrimp of similar size. There is no conclusive flavor that distinguishes a shrimp from a prawn. They're very similar in taste and texture. Some say prawns are a bit sweeter and meatier than shrimp, while shrimp are more delicate. However, the species' diet and habitat have a much greater influence on taste and texture. Although shrimp and prawns belong to different suborders of Decapoda, they are very similar in appearance and the terms are often used interchangeably in commercial farming and wild fisheries."
