Hello everyone! 🤗 I see people are really concerned for my carpet. 🥴 Understandably so. I was painting on a piece of wood. I know my capabilities with my hands. I have a steady hands and have painted professionally for years. It doesn't scare me because I know what I'm capable of. Of course there's always a chance paint could've touched the carpet but if it did, it would come out easy with carpet cleaner. I don't drink, smoke...this my version of living my life on the edge. 😋 lol not really but you get it. I don't normally paint big items like that so close to my carpet without protection but hey it happened. Can't take it back now. 🤗 Carpet is ok for those concerned.

This is so amazing! You are incredibly creative, thank you so much for sharing your talent and creativity. I’m wondering if those signs are just paint on the outside or if the design is paper on wood. I ask because I made a small table for my gentleman kitty’s food and water bowls. The wood sign that I used for the “table top” did have a sort of paper design on the wood. After the first week or so, the legs started to come apart from the top due to the paper. I ended up having to take it apart and use a palm sander to get the design off of the table. It was a weird kind of paper that I was not able to just peel off. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m really excited to try this but I can’t remember if those table top phrase signs are paint or some kind of paper adhered to wood. Thank you again for this and for all of your amazing and creative projects! 💜

@Bethany this is awesome...just 3 things I will do differently...1st, stain your legs before hand so to not put any pressure or extra movement to them. 2ndly, I'll personally add 2 more rolling pins to the middle to ensure sturdiness and no bulking in and then breaking. 3rdly, a cheap acrylic thin top from home depot or lowes. They really are cheap and they can cut to size...plus it'll give it a glass top look as well as applying full coverage so that a little more weight can be applied while protecting the wood. I absolutely LOVE this idea, tho. Thank you!

There are screw with 2 screwable ends. On the bottom of the table you screw one third of it into the table and the other part you screw into the rolling pin.

You are so creative. I always look forward to your videos. I also go through and read comments quite a bit and I just don't get the people that say negative things. If they want to do it differently that's their choice and it's your carpet, so why do people concern themselves with the way other people do things. I guess it's just negative people in general. I am a big fan of this channel but I promise this is gonna break. Mines broke from my 2 yr old leaning on it. U may be safe if u don't have kids or like me who's heavy handed with everything. But everything came out just like she said n it was so beautiful I just added a few things to her idea. Now my babies climbing on it n I can relax. I suggest using some strong glue to hold everything in place n a few layer's of glued cardboard I used 4 under. Then I made holes for the legs to go into it n lots of glue doesn't cost much. U can get boxes of cardboard for under $1 @ Walmart. No one will see the cardboard if u make it a few inches smaller. What I did was just added a strip of wood pieces along the edge from Lowe's. I did a few extra things but it looked so amazing one of my clients begged to buy it from me. I blingged minez out! Now imma make another one. Anyway love love love ur Videos ur so crazy talented n I can't wait to try out some more of ur creations.

How come you didn’t reinforce it by adding glue between each wood then staples? Wouldn’t that give it an even sturdier feel? And using screws for the legs instead.

You can repurpose wooden bed slats used in bed frames to sit the matress on top for projects. Usually the wood boards are chain-like held together with strips of strong fabric stapled on to each board. The wood slats from bedframes (usually for twins size many from Ikea beds) is good and supports a lot of weight. You can find the wood bed slats for FREE from Craigslist or on the sidewalks from people throwing them away. Tip: College towns are good areas to find many free items every semester that college students throw out (or leave on sidewalks for you to find).

If u want to be able to add more weight to it put some support in the middle where you connect the 2 sets of 6 pieces of wood either use the wood rolling pin or put some crates that similar in height but smaller in length/middle and fill the crate with heavy hardbacks books to support plus you get extra storage that way.

You're so creative bethany We don't have similar tastes as far as your decor schemes but I like that these ideas can be customized according to anyone's taste. I would either do marble contact paper on top or glitter and silver legs. I love this idea!

You're so creative! I can't find the wooden signs so I'll be using wood from lowes. They are usually cheaper than using dollar tree items anyway. Also if you want more of real wood look to the wood signs, you can use a wood graining tool to go over the paint. It gives faux wood the look of real wood. Awesome diy!
