Rabbi Anava, donughts are eaten because of their oiliness. The donughts and latkes are cooked in oil which is oil is supposed to remind of the oil that lasted 8 days. Thank you for your teachings. Shabbat Shalom🕊

You are right... but that is the invention... They didn't eat donuts a few hundred years ago. There is NO source for eating donuts on Chanuka... it is an invention. I can also invent reasons to do things. Stick to the Torah!
