1911 mags are usually the source of a malfunction, so taking a proven mag and making a 1911 out of it while increasing capacity is a win all around.

I have two Platypus pistols, one bushing barrel and one bull barrel. Both are 5" slide & barrel and both shoot fantastically. I got the bull barrel with an RMR optic cut but I doubt I will ever mount an optic. The iron sights are excellent. Good overview of the Platypus!

@Rainierarms I have yet to see anyone disappointed with theirs. The very few complaints I have seen on the reddit forum are usually people complaining about stupid things. Like, it being too tight!! What?? that is great 🤣 Or, the people who try to make fun of other people's color choices. That is my favorite part! People can go plain and standard or let their personal style show designing their own color combo. It's super cool aspect of these!! Either way you go, you get a great pistol for a very reasonable price!!

Lol it was a little dark! The replacement lights are now set up so we won't have to have a dark video again! It wasn't ideal, but we had to shoot

I wish they offered it with LPA dovetail cut rather then traditional Novack. I always preferred the LPA or Bomar dovetail target sights personally.

We will only be offering a few options. There are just too many options. We'll have a few options that are set up with the most common configurations so that people can get one without having to wait the lead times.

Nice, but just like the rest of the pistol, the trigger is customized to what you ask for in the order. Not just 3 to 3.5lbs.

The pistols we have in inventory (the one in the video) are built for us to the specs we chose. We have the triggers set to 3-3.5 lbs. But yes, you can do a full custom build and customize just about every aspect of the pistol through SA. It's an awesome feature.

The Apollo guns use a polymer grip module like the original 2011 designed by STI. It’s a metal frame with a polymer grip module attachment. The Platypus (as stated in the video) is a one-piece grip frame made of aluminum. It’s an all-metal gun
