Must Watch Randolph Scott Westerns | movie recommendations

Randolph Scott is my favourite golden era western star. I have the Boetticher box set from a few years ago. My personal favourite is The Tall T from an Elmore Leonard short story. Richard Boone is so evil in that one! Buchanan Rides Alone is also right up there.

Randolph Scott's Westerns directed by Budd Boetticher are so good, it's difficult choosing a favorite. All of them are great. And Ride The High Country is probably my favorite Sam Peckinpah Western as well. Randolph Scott and Joel McCrea gave fantastic performances. Thanks for giving Randolph Scott's career a shoutout. He definitely deserves to be more well known today, in my opinion. But at least classic film buffs and western fans know exactly who he is!

Hey Dustin! thanks for spotlighting him! I'm a big fan as you may already know, but I believe I have all his westerns, the one with Boetticher are some of his very best and Boetticher's best films, but also he made some great ones with Andre De toth, i would say check out the handful of ones he did between 1939-1941, and then all his westerns after 1946 to 1962. here's a video I did with my collection.
