It's good that you used a nylon hammer for tapping the clip. I saw a video of another farrier hitting the hoof a few times with a rounding hammer while the horse's hoof was on the ground... Do you think that amount of shock would hurt the horse? (The horse seemed to not like it and lifted his leg afterwards.)

Hey Mr Grant Moon that video was fantastic for decades i have been trying to say this method to customers and vets but to no avail . I would like to know the product you used to glue the mesh to the shoe as that would be helpful for me. I do know you as a british farrier from 30 years ago when you used to come to a forge at cc in the county of d and you made brass horse shoes for a master farrier called db i did sort of code that but you will know what i mean spoke to you at an atf training day at warick college 2 years 0r 18 months ago . would love to hear back from you might have some tips for your application of a shoe. thanks again keith dodsworth dwcf
