I am 77 years old still in good condition for my age. I have been a gearhead all my life messing only with C2 Corvettes 63 to 67 and classic Mustangs up to 1970. This passed April I came across a 65 fastback that had some major rusted floors and rear quarters. Was originally a 289 2 barrel 3 speed with a 2:75 open nine inch rear-end. The guy tossed in all new sheet metal he had for the car. I paid $6500 for the car and if I die building this car from old age or whatever I will die a happy man. The 65 fastback has been a dream of mine to build for years.

Nice but let it sit there idling fuel washing oil off the bores etc, remembering these cars were made when no one cared about fuel it was cheap only important thing then was going fast in a straight line.
