It's great to see how you continue to gain her trust and confidence by getting her used to 'weird' things and I love the 'hack' ;-) It's the most amazing feeling when you manage to switch your own agenda off, let emotions float off and just be with the horse. A great exercise to do this with any horse at any stable is to start your moment with the horse by synchronising your breathing with his until the horse takes a deep sigh or chews... Keep on the great work!

Clicker training is a lot faster and it's amazing what you can teach them to do. I trained a 3-year-old wild filly with clicker training. She went from untouched, wild-eyed bronc to her first ride in just a few weeks. Also taught her to stand for the farrier, load into a trailer, come when called and many other vital skills. Lots of people criticize that method but it works wonders if it's done right.
