Sarah, another favorite from the bedroom sessions. So many of your covers recorded in your bedroom are so well done. I love when you sing up close and into the camera. The sunshine coming in, the incredible singing, along with your glowing beauty make them magnificent!! The little drumming simulation at the end is very cute. Sarah, Nice reprise of a great mid-60s favorite, when i was driving a real Mustang, and digging the sounds of the real Wilson Pickett coming through the radio singing the real "Mustang Sally". Your lively and contagious vocals brought all those memories rushing back to me in a blaze of sound. Well done, Sarah!! xx P.S. Hi Sarah, I forgot to tell you that Bad Company sat in with my band at the Omni Hotel in Norfolk, Virginia. All they wanted to play were songs like mustang sally, knock on wood ETC. Some fat bitch kept shouting Feel like makin love. The guitar player played the same rig that I was using, a 1973 Fender Stratocaster and a Fender Super Reverb. after the gig was over we went to the bar and had a few beers. He said he had met George Harrison of The Beatles and that's all we talked about. Finally, the bartender threw us out!!! A very nice memory. I thanked the good Lord for that. Mustang Sally was written and first recorded by Mack Rice in May of 1965. "Sir Mark Rice" recorded the song on the Blue Rock Label. Wilson Pickett released a cover of the song the following year. Music historian Tom Shannon stated that the song began as a joke poking fun at Della Reese who wanted a new Ford Mustang. An early version of the song was called "Mustang Mama." Aretha Franklin suggested changing the title to "Mustang Sally" Sarah - Another wonderful cover of another great song.

hi sarah- mark barrett sent me a thing on my e-mail that you already sing mustang sally. tried to thank him for helping the old man out ha ha -mail came back did not work- i found a mark barrett doing a concert with a band in michigan in 1990 was cool! reminded me of a great story-liza minnelli judy garlands daughter from wizzard of ozz was asked to sing over the rain bow her responce was it's already been sung! wow! :) she has all my respect like james brown(hardest working man in show bussiness) i've seen her in concert on hbo and she worked her butt off!
