They really fucked up by firing these two. Not only was mustis a great creative element but they just can't replicate what these guys contributed in their live performances now. Dimmu Borgir is dead.

The music has definitely become less interesting since those two are gone. Orchestration has become more superficial and without the amazing clean vocals it's just less appealing. Still some quality songs on the more recent record but the quality has definitely dropped compared to what it used to be or could be with them. Makes sense, if you take out two important members from the band, it's gonna be audible.
