Ive got one its an excellent little meter, got it on sale for $19.98 and just one thing its very quick to give its battery warning and shut off, you can defeat this when you turn it on by holding the select button and turning the range switch on. Youll still get the warning but it wont turn off. Meters with this new display do this because the EBTN displays use more juice than regular displays. I also have the previous meter to this one the MT108N and its also an excellent meter as well.

Thanks for that tip. So far i am really liking it especially for the cost. I am not familiar with the EBTN displays and the power draw but i may look into it one day.

You bet, I have this one and its previous model the MT108N with regular display and both are two of the best small budget meters you can get for the money. I got this one on a short sale at BG for $17.99 and im very pleased with it so far. Ive had the older 108N for some time used it a lot and its been a great meter as well, accurate and fast etc. I only got this one because I wanted to try out the new EBTN display, ive heard these displays can run batteries down faster but I havent seen that yet though it does warn you pretty quick and will shut down sooner than regular meters. Its not my only meter so im not really concerned. Like all cheap meters this shouldnt be used for high voltage/amperage as they dont have the input protection of the more industrial meters, but for most of us home hobbyists and tinkerers this is a great little meter and that doesnt even come into play.

THANKS! I haven't used my meter in a while, and I've always been annoyed by that auto-off feature. It's too quick! Only 2 minutes for the warning and then another minute for auto-off (I just timed it). I find those beeps are rather loud and distracting though, but at least it won't turn off now.

Hello, what material is your carpet?

Just an FYI on this one besides some issues with it reading voltage too low compared to my other multimeters it is completely unreadable in sunlight and you really need to squint even in the shade, terrible screen on it, have never seen something with a bright backlight that performs this bad outside Further to this I pulled off the plastic screen cover and can read it in the shade now and *just* make it out in the sun, bit of a dodgy work around but at least it's usable outside now
