Synopsis: In the 37th year of Jiajing's reign in the Ming Dynasty, the eunuchs gained immense power. To bribe the Head Eunuch, the Thaumaturgical Chancellor proposed to refine a pill with the "heart of a living tiger" that would increase his potency and vitality. In order to hunt tigers, the Eastern Depot set up a "hunting ground of rites" in a small border town in the southwest where tigers had been sighted. To their horror, they had instead introduced a strange virus into the tiger's body that drove it insane. The virus quickly spread like an epidemic. At the same time, Zhang Liucheng, an imperial guard who had been dismissed for reporting the misconduct of the Eastern Depot, arrived in the same town. He had taken in Huan'er, an orphan whose family had been murdered by the eunuchs in a cover-up operation. They came to find his brother Zhang Liuping, a hunter recruited by the new hunting ground. To their surprise, they were attacked by the mutant tigers. However, this is only the beginning. The epidemic led to the gathering of hundreds of tigers and the town was surrounded. One after another, people got attacked and killed by the tigers and the entire town was in danger. Zhang Liucheng fought bravely and brought Huan'er and the people to safety. But he had no idea that deep in the "hunting ground" hides a shocking secret that is even more dangerous than the beasts...

I love the movies you share and am thankful for the English subtitles, but whoever did them this time was high as a kite... LOL 🤣 I've never seen the subtitles so chopped up with random punctuation and half sentences added at the beginning and end of others without at least trying for the natural flow of speech...🤷🏻‍♂️ Crazy to try to enjoy this one the way it is... But I'll be back to watch something else at another time.
