Mutant X was one of the best X-MEN live shows ahead of its time. Well written episodes along with character driven storylines. I really hate it when they killed of Emma but if they did have a Season 4 and since the show was popular I'm sure they would have found a way to bring Emma back. I did get the Complete DVD set and I totally enjoyed it from beginning to end. Such a shame this show ended way too soon.

Didn't think Emma actually died. Using mental powers she suspended her metabolism to make others think she was dead because Adam wanted her to go undercover and this was perfect time to do so as if anyone were to mindscan the rest, they would truly believe Emma dead. Adam more than likely did think there was more going on than Eckert or Ashlock was doing. Bringing down Sanctuary( right on top of the baddies) was some cheap insurance, though too bad about the jet although really not very large or powerful enough for much more than it was.

Let's be honest, this is the cast we deserved and never got. You could say Emma faked her death (cast an illusion) because she had found out about the Creator and the clones and realizing that they were a threat, she went off on her own to take them down during the third season (off-screen) but has to come back. Or...something. I dunno.

Honestly, the story could work for the MCU. Mutants are naturally occurring but, further genetic experiments to unlock the potential of humans leads to the discovery of the X-gene during the 5 year gap in Endgame.

Mutant x was actually tripe and rehashed in a poorer manner many of the tropes of sci-fi. It seemed more like a vehicle for kung fu type action even to the extent of using one fighter from a Jackie Chan movie in it and constantly having young people being silly. and doing the same ego/hormone driven things every week. Frankly it didn't need another season of rubbish "special" effects and endless fight scenes.
