That was fantastic! What a nice mellow sound from that banjo.

This man wasn't train by tab. To learn what he is doing is by learning the right way and many hours of mastering your fingerboard. Hats off you from another banjo player who learn from old school thanks

So. For those that don't know. This is a plectrum banjo. A longer necked variation of the Tenor banjo. It is a 4 stringed instrument that is usually tuned in DGBE The way he's getting that melow tone is through a banjo mute placed on the bridge. It muffles the vibrations to the head giving it a more guitarlike tonal resonance. Nevertheless. This truely is beautiful.

I've never heard banjo playing that I really liked - Fleck, Scruggs, Keith regardless - until this. He is a master and a pleasure to watch.
