This album came out prior to mothers passing. I remember this song playing as I was driving thru the rain to see her in the hospital during her final couple days. This band has provided the soundtrack to my life for the last 10 years I’ve known them. I can’t be anymore thankful. Mutemath forever

2020 still here. My favorite band of all time. They’ve been there for me for ages. Everything changes, Mutemath remains. If this was truly the end, thank you. THANK YOU. ❤️❤️

This song makes me emotional. I've had my heart broken before and would always listen to Mutemath to cheer me up. But now the heartbreak comes from Mutemath. So I didn't really want to hear this song, but man it's such a beautiful song musically and lyrically. Marching to the end, we're marching to begin. I want nothing but the best for this band. I hope they continue to make music that I can run to during heartbreaks.

This song is slept on so hard. It's too bad, this is probably one of the most well-orchestrated songs of all time.

this might be a bit of a stretch, but for me it was really cool. At 5:37, when the vocals suddenly cut out, I faded out this window and faded in "Afterward" from their Reset - EP. It was kind of a cool little thing, it just really kinda reflected that same kind of hopeful yet airy, spaced-out vibe. And I love mixing together new and old :) Anyway, I absolutely love this track. Mutemath is so good at writing closing songs. And just writing songs in general. Mutemath is so good.

Lights widen out Casting down shadows of doubt God, give me time Cause I'm running low on these hours of mine Change, it hurts for some But I'm counting on what's yet to come Marching to the end I thought I found a place A place to start Marching to the end Or so it seemed Then I found a place To build a dream Marching to the end We're marching to begin, oh Marching to the end We're marching to begin, oh If it can't change, we'll leave it out If it won't break, we'll bleed it out If it can't wait, we'll see it out We're gonna make believe it out If it can't change, we'll leave it out If it won't break, we'll bleed it out If it can't wait, we'll see it out We're gonna make believe it out Marching to the end We're marching to begin, oh Marching to the end We're marching to begin, oh If it can't change, we'll leave it out If it won't break we'll bleed it out If it can't wait, we'll see it out We're gonna make believe it out If it can't change, we'll leave it out If it won't break we'll bleed it out If it can't wait, we'll see it out We're gonna make believe it out If it can't change, we'll leave it out If it won't break we'll bleed it out If it can't wait, we'll see it out We're gonna make believe it out If it can't change, we'll leave it out If it won't break we'll bleed it out If it can't wait, we'll see it out We're gonna make believe it out

This is a hauntingly magnificent song - love the church like organ intro. Takes me to my childhood when we marched silently into the church pews for afternoon mass, where once there, daydreaming would commence. Please keep touching my soul.

Liked this one on first listen. Sidenote 4 Mr. Bateman... the layering is really nice... Keys & Vox.
SomeLittleShoe That is due towards the fact that major labels fear them. They do not bend towards the will of being sheep-herded. They enjoyed exploring their musical boundaries & even the limitations of such. That is why they've mainly been on "major" independent labels. Due to that & the fact of them not being little replaceable toy soldiers, they weren't given strong promotion. Only those whom really love music & willing to try different material were the ones giving them shots & championing them. You can honestly say that you don't hear their music on the radio(normal or satellite) that often. Rumor was that the labels were scared of bestowing Coldplay-like power towards another modern band. Either way, it was a criminally crying shame that true talent can't be openly pushed often in this modern day. Sorry for leaving this pseudo-essay as a response.

You can feel what the band is feeling from this song. I'm sure having DK leaving the group left a big identity crisis on the band, giving the lyrics so much meaning in how Paul and Roy are experiencing the whole ordeal.
