Baffert served his time. Zedan spent millions with Baffert suspension supposedly being lifted for the 2024 derby. He should be allowed to run. And I can't blame him for not wanting to switch trainers, like him or not Baffert is the best Triple crown big race trainer in the last several decades. Cdi should have to stick to the original deal. How many owners have spent millions to send Baffert the best bred horses knowing that he was supposed to be able to run in 2024? Cdi needs to suck it up and stand by what they laid out from the beginning.

Muth should be allowed to run on this 150th Kentucky Derby even if it is with another trainer. Because of the Medina Spirit drug case, Churchill Downs gave two year penalization to Baffert from 2021 to 2023. The penalization extension of one more year (2024) to Baffert was not in the original court papers. The Zedan's Attorneys have a case. The Kentucky Court Judge may let Muth run on this 150th Kentucky Derby with another trainer even when Zedan had an opportunity to change trainers by late January of this year 2024.

Penalty was not arbitrarily extended you liar! It was specifically extended because Baffert continued to lie about it and go out in the press and refuse to take responsibility. That is why it was extended. There was nothing arbitrary about it!

"Medina Spirit was disqualified from the victory because a blood sample taken on race day registered positive for betamethasone, a legal corticosteroid used to treat joint inflammations, that's banned in Kentucky on race days. (The amount in its bloodstream was so miniscule it could have had no beneficial impact for the horse's race.) Baffert has consistently maintained that the horse had not been injected with the drug - and then later himself learned that an ointment with which Medina Spirit was treated (via external administration, as opposed to injection into a joint) to combat skin lesions in the weeks before the race, Otomax, contained a form of betamethasone. In other words, Medina Spirit wasn't being treated for joint inflammation via injection of the drug. Churchill's position was clear: a positive test for the drug is a positive test, no matter the manner in which it was administered. Baffert was given a two-year suspension by Churchill (at all Churchill-owned tracks), and served a 90-day national ban levied by the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission.
