This donghua is really amazing! cinematography is beautiful.. fighting senses are superb! love main lead duo's characters. and about the novel- it's really worth to try...this isn't a usual plot, this is extremely unusual bl story and complicated. Shen qiao and Yan wushi have completely different personalities. Shen qiao genuinely kind and honest - a hidden gem. Yan wushi is a real devil, but the great, noble and very smart. you know that kind of villain which looks so noble, mischievous, but still great. i can't hate him at all as his principal is actually justified. he's not stupid blindly bad. he was just realistic to how human nature is do bad and not trusting anyone. he is very clear about what he wanted and whom he loved, just keep it moving without breaking his stride. he's evil, every one knows it, he knows it, but he never try to pretend to be like a good person, he's being true to his character. feel him much more like a real person. I like how Yan wushi and Shen qiao stand on their own principles and do act like a mature adults. also stayed true to thier characters up to their very last moment. even though they have opposite personalities both of them are confidence, strong, mature and powerful. although they didn't trust each other at first and Yan wushi treat Shen qian in a bad way at first ( even he ended up saving Shen qiao and that allowed and helped Qiao to regain his martial arts), due to common goal they stick together and look after eachother. after he awareness about his feelings towards Shen qiao his attitude towards Qiao changed and he moved on and never regrets about what he did in past or he didn't ask or wait for forgiveness/ he never cry for forgiveness like most of other characters, just decided to do much better in future. actually I really haven't met a such kind of different character like Yan wushi before... Shen qiao and Yun wushin character development is solid. they have push and up dynamic in their relationship felt natural and real. romance develop very slowly but also in a realistic way instead of yandere at first sight way. I love the way Yan wushi loved Shen qiao and the way he express it. and the love and respect they had for eachother honestly earned by themselves. they were truly deserving of eachother. every relationship in this world is not pure as water and not clear as sky. but people found their own happiness in different types of relationships.. in the end why this story comes to is Shen qiao trying to make Yan wushi understand that there is selfless kindness in the world, while Yan wushi trying to make Qiao understand that everyone in this world not kind, and his kindness will amount to nothing when the party he's helping has other motives. both of their principles proven in this story using by side characters. both are right, both are wrong, in the end, it all comes up that world is not a black white, but rather gray! * in the end they get around it and come to understand eachother. in this story opposite attraction law was so strong. they have an happy ending, both of them found their happiness..

补完小说再重看动画，发现真如大家调侃的本动画是浣月宗出资，硬给老晏洗白。原作里的老晏哪有对阿峤这么好，大部分的困境都是阿峤自己克服的，甚至老晏还给他挖了很多坑。要不是开瓢后老晏积极找补，哪里能抱得美人归。动画版从一开始就发了好多糖，比亲妈还亲啊

Next, I actually do like the idea of a murim or cultivation story with a BL romance. When reading soul land 2 (manwha) and it wasn’t revealed that wang dong was a female, I was FULLY on board with that because they were just so goddamn cute 🥰. And this definitely isn’t bad, but I often feel rather confused with the plot itself, and questions are often unanswered with the plot. I wouldn’t group this together with low end Donghua, but I wouldn’t group it with high end Donghua either. Perhaps a step below high end?
