Whats the difference between the models (Akita, Mastiff, Hilt and Mongrel)? Looking to buy a 125cc soon.

The differences between these models is mostly aesthetic, the Akita has a larger tank and slightly shorter seat, Hilts has tracked handle bars for a more upright riding position, Mongrel has slightly wider bars and classic style tyres. The new DRK is a completely new design, has a new liquid cooled engine and is an entirely different bike than the classic Mutt's.

I sat on a mutt 125 in a Bristol shop. Found the seat a tad hard. Are all the seats the same hardness? I'm looking at getting the 250 cc as soon as I can 👍

I'm thinking about getting one, the only thing putting me off is (and correct me if I'm wrong), they're slightly modified (in the UK) Chinese made bikes, re-branded, and sold for a lot more than the Chinese counterparts, which are half the price (and often not made very well)

The base bikes are Manufactured to our specification (much higher than the brand you refer to), with a plethora of special Mutt designed components. There is then another stage of production in the UK where further bespoke and upgraded parts are added and the bikes completed. There really is a world of difference. Try and view a Mutt side by side with bikes you refer to. Or if you can visit HQ for a test ride, we can show you the bikes and discuss in detail.

would the seat height be too tall for a 5'4" height?

Its always best to try the bikes out to see if you're comfortable, we find all the twin shock models ok for a rider of that height. The FSR has the lowest seat height and would certainly be ok.

Any of the twin shock models should be suitable, the FSR being the lowest seat height. Always best to visit a dealer or a Mutt store to try them out for size.
