Do we simply multiple everything by 2 if need to make double the mutton in 8 quart instant pot? All the spices and the water especially ?

What should be the pressure cook time if I replace mutton with chicken?

Please explain to me what is deglazed the pot mean after frying onion??? Thanks for the great simple recipe
@TheSpiceGenie4 жыл бұрын
Sure, Onions or meat tend to stick to the bottom while frying. Deglazing is adding tiny bit of water and scraping the burned bits off at the bottom of the pot. This is very important in instant pot cooking because if anything is stuck at the bottom, your instant pot will stop pressure cooking and show burn message. Enjoy ❤️

what's the difference with mutton briyani?Sorry noob here.But I love Indian food.
@TheSpiceGenie3 жыл бұрын
Hi! Pulao rice is cooked in a meat broth. In Biryani the masala sauce is cooked first then rice is boiled separately, then the sauce and rice are steamed together. Here is a biryani recipe video as a reference kzbin.info/www/bejne/qJ6xe36rdsd6mJY

Hi. What is NPR?
@TheSpiceGenie4 жыл бұрын
Hi Areej! NPR is natural pressure release and that basically means letting the pressure out of the pot naturally. So when your pressure cooking cycle ends, you can release pressure by either a quick release (right after it’s done pressure cooking) or natural pressure release (letting it sit for a while). NPR can be timed as well. So if the recipe says NPR for 5 mins that means letting it sit for 5 mins after it’s done pressure cooking (your screen will read L0:05) and then releasing the remaining pressure. I hope that makes sense. Let me know if you have any other questions! 😁
