No, it's not. Reasons: 1) No interest for your investment. 2) You need to buy jewellery only. You can't get back as cash. 3) They can't give part payment also. You will be asked to buy jewellery over and above your savings. This leads to pay extra money from your pocket. 3) How can you believe a jewellery shop to hold your money? Whether they will stay till you buy jewellery? If they closed and run away, can you get back your money? 4) If somebody gets deposits, they must get RBI approval. Do you think all jewellery shops are following this rule? if you want to buy jewellery, save money in Post office RD or Bank RD or good mutual fund through SIP. Once you earned sufficient money, buy jewellery in a reputed jewellery shop. Negotiate and demand discount in making charge and wastage against the cash purchase. Get invoice and guarantee card.
