thanks for uploading, අපි ආසාවෙන් අහපු කතාවක්, ගැමුණු විජේසූරිය වගෙ අති දක්ෂයින්ගෙන් එදා මුවන් පැලැස්ස අපේ ජීවිත රසවත් කලා, ඒ ශිල්පීන්ගෙ මියයෑමෙන් පසු මුවන් පැලැස්ස අකර්මණ්‍ය උනා. නමුත් අදටත් විජේරත්න වරකාගොඩ ශ්‍රේෂ්ඨ කලාකරුවා නිසා එම කතාව අසන පිරිසක් සිටිනවා. අපි එතුමාට නිරොගි සුව දිගාසිරි ලැබේවා කියා ආශිර්වාද කරමු.

Rish, do you by any chance have some of the old audio recordings of Muwanpelessa? Those days were special. My father had a collegue in his school named Mr. Wijerathna. He was a very good radio maker and at least once a year he would gift my father a home made radio. Those days there was no FM just mediumwave bad reception. Every Monday (8;30PM) we would get ready to listen to Muwanpelessa. Wonderful radio drama and nothing of that standard was done after that. If you have old episodes, you really should upload them to youtube so we can listen to them again. Thanks.

Dr.Mudalinayake Somarathna started the drama in 1964. He leaved the country in 1971.( 7 years ) Then Mr. Victor Miguel continue the script until his death in 1995.( 24 years ) From November 1995 to April 2010 Muwan Pelessa continued by Mr. Sri Nimal Padmakumara (Me) ( 15 years ) . In 2010 Chairman SLBC Mr. Hudson Samarasinghe call back Dr. Somarathna to write the drama.

+Wadheebha Padmakumara, Thank you very much for sharing this gem. When we were growing up in SL, this was the only soap available. Monday evening at 7.30 everyone was glued to the radio. Programme in the 70s was sponsored by Linton departmental store of Kandana. Wijeratne Warakagoda - Korale Mahatthaya, Ratnawali Kekunawela - Menike, Victor Miguel - Kadira, Wally Nanayakkara - Ukku Banda, Natali Nanayakkara - Namali, and Gemunu Wijesuriy was double acted as Veda Mama and Pina, the main characters. Thank you for preserving this piece of our radio history.
