Well well, what an interesting episode it was... I'm also investor in PSX and evrything your guest said is just so so true... I started in PSX in 2015 and I have been through same journey as Laeeq sb is telling. And, most importantly the ride of AVN and SYS , all these 6 years played like a movie in my eyes, thoroughly thoroughly enjoyed the podcast, it was great fun ride thinking of all my profits and losses made in PSX in past 6 years. Something that I do with stocks for anyone interested. (I did my research and you should do your own) 1. Invest 40% of savings in S&P 500 ETF 2. Invest 40% of savings in S&P 500 Technology Sector ETF 3. Invest 20% of savings in a stock I think would go up based on research (for the past 6 months this has been Apple)

Another Interesting podcast but this is not even near to the bars set by last episodes with same guest. Guest was only focused on selling his work (sarmaya). Muzammil asked some good questions for example: what to do with 1.5 lac rupees, and where to put in? but he was selling his services on each answer and was not answering those directly. p.s Guest shared his experience of investing AVN and SYS was only good part from this episode.

I would disagree with his advice on investing Rs.1.5 Lakhs by dividing it into high risk, medium risk, and low-risk areas through a mutual fund. The very first question should be, what is your time horizon, and can you afford to take the risk to withstand a random market crash? For example, suppose I comfortably live off my salary. In that case, it is much better for me to invest that 1.5 Lakhs in a high-risk equity fund which would enable reasonable capital appreciation over the years rather than giving me below-inflation returns(when I don't need them since I can live off my salary). On the other hand, if my goal was to only earn a regular stream of income in a few months and then cash-out, then a money market fund would do good with a certain percentage in an equity fund as well so it all depends on your goals as an investor rather than a one-fit-all rule.
