Also they don't say it in the anme but in the manga, its a little bit different as its easy to forget that Ubuyashiki has quintuplets and not twins. There are two remaining children are alive and were sent away, but two of the daughters and his wife did not want to leave their fathers side knowing they would die in this plan. They were fully aware of the plan and also had burning hatred for Muzan enough to make that sacrifice!

Rengoku is dead, but his will is eternal, as long as one person that knew him in life manages to pass on memories of him to a younger generation, or if he perhaps kept a Hashira journal like we've seen the Rengoku family does, them someone will get to know a part of him post mortem and he'll never be 100% gone.

EVERYTHING about this episode is flawless, and they've set up their final battle PERFECTLY. Infinity Castle trilogy, here we come . . . Edit: Okay, the ONLY thing I would change is showing Akaza, Doma, and Kokushibo in the Infinity Castle among the other demons at the end. All three of them are in the opening, and yet they don't appear at ALL during this season. I found that kinda odd.

Even with all of the Hashira having always been clearly shown as being insane, one of the things that impressed me the most here was that while in the middle of the fight, Gyomei had the presence of mind to shout out the only relevant and by far the most important information as soon as the other Hashira arrived: "It's Muzan (they've never seen him before aside from Tanjiro and have no idea what he looks like), he doesn't die if you cut off his head (unlike all the other demon's they've ever faced)" Had he not shouted out those two specific details, the others might have responded far slower considering he was already fighting the demon who killed Ubuyashiki, and they would definitely have each tried to cut off his head ones they started fighting him, wasting a lot of time, energy, effort and possibly lives

And adding in Tanjiro, who's the only one to HAVE met Muzan face-to-face, to 100% confirm that it is indeed Muzan himself. The series lore really shows that it's come full circle and that an all out assault from both forces facing off that the anime is leading up to is now within sight.

I guess a more literal translation to the meaning could be something like "I'm glad it is like that". Imo it just shows how much these people truly care about each other. @@laurainathunderstorm No they don't because the 'curse' is broken I hate the word curse because in actuality it's more of a psychic & biological link binding the demons to Muzan in essence they become his body, a huge hive-mind which Muzan controls (Hantengu knew Nezuko was immune and the exact moment he seen Nezuko survive before he died that Information was sent to Muzan) Tamayo broke the 'curse' by science which took her centuries but eventually she developed a single way to break this link, Nezuko already had it broken to her bloodline connection with Yoirrichi. But any other demon even outside the Upper-Moons are all Proxies Muzan can do whatever he wants (Mind read, see through every demon at the same time, Mind Control them, erase and create fake memories, biologically destroy them) you get the gist basically anything - Transferring His Conciousness into a demon makes sense. ALSO this applies to Hashira or our current human, any human he turns automatically becomes a proxy he can use to take over their mind fully possessing them should his current form be destroyed.

It's kinda crazy how different the dialogue in the dubbed version vs. the english subs. I've heard of some animes where the english dub is actually the preferred version (like Cowboy Bebop) but I think I like the OG japanese for Demon Slayer

The weapon is similar to a kusarigama, and Gyomei uses the chain's sound to judge the flail and axe's position, which helps him compensate for his blindness. His skill with the kusarigama allows him to deflect Muzan's attacks.

@@HaydrogenBomb a kusarigama most likely resembles a small scythe (or "Kama" as it's called), with a metal chain at the bottom of the handle and, a small heavy iron weight attached at the end of the chain. Gyomei weapon "slightly" resembles it.

Gyomei's weapon is a type of Kusarigama. It has a sickle on one end and a heavy iron weight at the other end and these two are connected with a chain. You can actually search it up for real pictures of the weapon. Its a traditional japanese weapon.
