I’m not a huge fan of bright cymbals but if you’re gonna play rock, then assemble that cuts through the mix is good, but for me, I like low pitch and dark cymbals

Haze I’ve played Zildjian all my life but I’ve been looking at some Sabian cymbals. Could you help me pick between the 17 inch aax xplosion crash or the 17 inch evolution crash?

I would prefer the 17" Evolution Crash. In my opinion it sounds a lot sweeter and fits what I personally like to hear more. I do know on Sabian's site, they have sound bites of each cymbal. I would recommend doing that and seeing what you like to hear more.
