This was my personal favourite track from 2000 in the CRW mix form. I remember it was released around May time that year. It got smashed in Ibiza that year, my second time I went there. It stuck with me through the whole summer of 2000 and even now, when I hear it, the memories of being 19, Ibiza and summer of 2000 come flooding back.

I love the interview. One of my favourite tunes of all time. Part of the soundtrack to my summer of 2000. The end of my first year of university, I listened to this tune on Radio One for weeks, and then caned the CD when it came out. Later on I bought the import with the Eivissa@night mix on (the housey mix with the US radio DJ on), which I love too. I didn’t know that was York’s own mix.

This was the song that got me into trance. I closed my eyes as a teenager and imagined what my life would be and this was the sound track to it and now I am 40. Still sounds incredible. Kryders remix is incredible.

In my dj days in the club i used to drop the crw mix of "on the beach" then mix in crw "I feel love" 😂. I finally going to Ibiza from oz next year. Its a pity it wasn't during late 90s 2000s when everything was at its peak

Ik vind jouw interviews fantastisch... echter sla die met trance trax eigenlijk allemaal over. Wie de fak luister er in 2024 in godsnaam nog trance hahaha? Dit kanaal heeft zoveel potentie; Ben kijker vh eerste uur. Mss eens wat meer hiphop/techno/house/elektro/electronica prod/artiesten aan de 'techtand' voelen? Twan, alvast bedankt vanuit alkmaar :-)

@@jotathemovie Bedankt voor je reactie! Ik kom zelf uit de trance hoek en het merendeel van mijn volgers ook, plus ik ken veel van de artiesten / managers persoonlijk, dus dat maakt het over het algemeen wat makkelijker om bepaalde interviews te krijgen. En… ondanks dat trance blijkbaar niet je genre is, zijn er nog genoeg mensen die in 2024 naar trance luisteren. Sterker nog, 2 nieuwe trance gerelateerde interviews die ik in de laatste 4,5 maand heb gepost, hebben al ruim 10K views, dus dat zijn voor mijn kanaal echt grote aantallen. En helaas krijg ik niet altijd reactie op mijn aanvragen vanuit de andere genres die je noemt, dus dan houdt het al snel op (zelfs na 1 of 2 reminders….). In de laatste 3 maanden ook nog 2 namen uit de hiphop scène gevraagd, 1 had geen tijd (was maar 12 uurtjes in het land) en van de andere geen reactie gekregen… Ook sommige techno namen reageren helaas niet op mijn emails met interview aanvragen. Dus het is niet altijd zo makkelijk als het lijkt 😉 Er komen nog zeker wat techno namen aan, maar dat gaat ergens in 2025 worden. Ik werk fulltime en kan momenteel alleen interviews opnemen in het weekend. Op mijn wish list staan nog iets van 100+ namen, dus ideeën genoeg! Als ze nou allemaal “ja” zeggen, dan komt het vast helemaal goed 😉

I would love to make that happen one day, but unfortunately I simply don't have a travel budget for these interviews. Advertising revenue on KZbin is hardly enough to cover the costs I'm making every month. For now I can only do interviews with people who live nearby (I'm based in the south of The Netherlands), or with people who visit for gigs / Amsterdam Dance Event etc. And before you ask, I don't do Skype/Zoom interviews, I really dislike those hehe. All my 185+ interviews are done in person :) Thanks for your understanding!
