Who would've thought that nightlife in Manila was aesthetically pleasing and I notice that MNL48 toned down their colors and dive into different color palettes; minimalism at its finest, I watched the other 48 group and they used vibrant and pastel colors whereas MNL48 used different color shades. I just started knowing them 3 weeks ago and I realized how many moments I missed, achievements I missed, events I missed, memories I missed, and specially to those members who already graduated. Everytime I watch and listen to their MV's, it gives me tears knowing that one or two of those members who composed that MV already graduated. I regret those days were I ignored them but tbh, there's nothing I can do. I love them all, thats why its so hard for me to choose my Kami-Oshi because Im giving them equal treatment, but no matter who my Kami-Oshi is, I will still love them equally. Used to be a hardcore AKB48 fan. When I heard that PH is making its own version, I had my doubts. Sabi ko di naman nila mapapantayan and mabababoy lang yung 48 franchise, pero eventually napamahal na ako sa MNL48. Nung narinig ko na 'yung version nila ng Aitakatta, I was pulled back in sa 48 franchise and now I stan them really hard. Nakita ko rin kung paano sila nag-improve over time. This song made me cry 😭. napanuod ko unang pag introduced sa kanila sa showtime before... sila Eunice, Abby and the twins lang naalala ko nun sa kanila, pero di ko rin talaga nasubaybayan dahil minsan lang makanuod ng showtime because of work. until recently, i was strolling tiktok, nakita ko isang video ni Coleen. Hindi ko alam na member siya ng MNL48 that time, pero nung viniew ko tiktok account niya, I was stunned and then became curious sa other videos niya, until makarating ako sa pinaka first tiktok post niya... I felt regrets. bakit diko sila nasubaybayan noon? sa kagustuhan kong makilala pa sila, pinapanuod ko lahat ng mga old videos nila.. mga online shows at mga guestings. I am in my lowest point in life these past few months, but thanks to these girls, their songs, videos and stories became my therapy. I will stan and cheer for them in the future. I wish them success and happiness. Love you girls, specially to my considered most favorite Coleen, who brought me here 😍. Goodluck to your upcoming projects girls.. more projects in the future 🙏

Coming back from the 48G talk to see what they were talking about the girls not looking at the camera, it made me appreciate the MV more. See, white usually represents purity, so they look like they are new and just starting, so the parts of them not looking then looking after shows the girls being ordinary girls dreaming to be part of the group, and slowly becoming one. The parts where they're "grown up" and either returned to their quiet lives, have careers, or torn between wanting to go back and moving forward, they aren't looking at the camera, which expresses their loss and conflict more, and parts like Kay, Sayaka, and Coleen looking at you when singing makes you feel that they are where they want to be, while parts like Jem who looks at you then away signals the conflict of missing being an idol but forcing herself to accept that that part is done. Also, a little hint with Brei being lost is in the colors - blue as she had just started her career (like how there's blue in the girls in white) and the magenta-ish light to signify a small hint of uncertainty. Red hues for lost, yellow for with set paths be it a big career or a quiet life, and a mix of both for the internal struggle. What's the best part is the contrast between the girls "grown up" not looking and the ones on stage, the "looking back to now" girls contrast. The "grown ups" are lost, and go back to their "home", which is their beginning. There, they see the "idol them" who look at you and inspire you, and you can feel every bit of emotion in the notes. In the end, Sheki looks at you in her "grown up" side with a smile, as if she's found her answer and saying that you helped her find it, and then the door sound for her to follow the path she's made for herself. At that single moment, they converted the "we're looking at our past selves for answers" to "thank you for helping me, viewer". Maybe this is just how I see it, but just the way they made even the eye movements and lighting be relevant to each part of the story just makes this all the better!
