as a bestfriend, i feel hurt seeing new kpop childs' comments asking "who are they? are they new? just debuted?" now i'm gonna tell you, this is BOYFRIEND, the first ever boy group Starship Entertainment created. Debuted at 26-05-2011, with "Boyfriend". The fandom called "BESTFRIEND". Why are you never see them lately? it's because they're busy promoting in Japan, and the fact they're more popular there. BOYFRIEND consists of 6 members. Kim Donghyun 0:57 Shim Hyunseong 2:12 Lee Jeongmin 0:19 Jo Youngmin 0:40 Jo Kwangmin 1:57 No Minwoo 0:08 "i see two boys look alike, are they related?" yes, they're twins, Jo Youngmin (older brother, vocal) and Jo Kwangmin (younger brother,rapper) also known as Jo Twins. the birth gap is 6 minutes. They had their first win with comeback "WITCH" 11-11-2014, followed with "BOUNCE", sadly after BOUNCE promotion, they back to Japan to do some promotions like : GLIDER, I MISS YOU, and their latest SUMMER, and finally come back to Korea with this beautiful "STAR". I hope you can join this fandom because Boyfriend is awesome, talented, and everything. Nothing's gonna regretted. well i want to be honest that actually i'm being bestfriend since 2013, yes, a bit late, not those who stay since their debut days. it's because at that time they debuted, i'm just get into kpop, and the group that attract me is of course, SNSD. but still, what makes me being BESTFRIEND is their BOYFRIEND song. not janus, or obsession, or witch that attract more people because their manly concept. i think they're different and adorable with that cute concept and i really like it. no boy group ever use that concept except Boyfriend. and it's my first time to stan a boy group because i don't know, i was never really like any boy group. and i'm gonna admit when they had their Korea hiatus, i'm kinda lazy to follow them again and see some new groups, and i'm not really living my "BESTFRIEND" life because of it and my life getting busy. but still, when they're come back i'll always support them by at least streaming. so i hope you can also support them, we really welcome all of you😊😊 and i'm sorry for my bad english because it's not my first language.

I'm crying real hard right now. Our boys deserved so much but starship threw them away after Monsta X's success. And it pained me in the heart when Boyfriend was rarely mentioned as a part of Starship (I've watched reality shows where they only say that K.Will, Sistar, WJSN and Monsta X are under Starship) They were the first boy group that Starship had and they didn't promote then well tbh. With their hiatus for 2 years, I prayed that they won't disband and that Starship should stop neglecting them. These boys may still be lacking despite being 5 year idols, but that's because Starship didnt give them anything as a group. Our boys worked on musicals, dramas, Japan schedules while saying sorry towards us because they couldn't have a Korean comeback. These boys are so underrated that it pains me that other people aren't seeing their talent. They've worked so hard yet it seems like only a few knows them. I wish that Starship will promote them more (like srsly). I don't mind seeing them in October or November for another comeback. I kow that our boys want that too because they want to see us. Maknae Unboxer I was also afraid that they were gonna disband but they didn't. Thank god! 😭 it just proves how strong their bond is. I watched them from their debut and was totally dumbfounded when I couldn't see even just their shadow in the K-POP world these boys are talented I was even expecting them to appear in Produce 101 because NU'EST went there, because let's face it they were also forgotten by the company and one could say that they were given scraps of what they gave to SVT, don't get me wrong I love them and I don't have a problem with them but with Pledis. Who knows that this was actually their last official korean comeback. Ugh trust starship to ruin everything. Anyway, its alright, I just wish them success all the way through life, they have given us so many things, and so i feel really sorry about the disbandment, because i haven't yet got to meet them, attend their fan meetings or buy their albums as im still a student. Bestfriends, we need to work really hard during this comeback. This is honestly a lot more than just Boyfriend coming back after their two year hiatus whilst they did their Japanese promotions, this is so much more than that. This comeback essentially decides the futures of our boys. Boyfriend don't have much time left in their contract with Starship, and if this comeback isn't successful it's highly likely that they will disband. I'm absolutely furious that it has reached this point, and it's all Starship's fault, but I'm not going to go into that now. 💜 For those of you who can afford it, please buy a copy of each version of the album 'Never End', and from a retailer where your purchase will be counted towards the charts in Korea like Gaon and MelOn. We need Boyfriend's sales to increase because they weren't particularly high during the 'Bounce' era and we need to show Starship that although there aren't as many of us anymore (which is entirely Starship's fault for sending them to Japan at the absolute worst time) we still fully support our boys and we want them to continue. 💜 For those of you who cannot financially afford to buy the album, the most important thing you can do is stream the hell out of the Star MV on KZbin and also Vlive. If we can get the views up high it will increase the chance of Boyfriend staying together. 💜 Also, talking about them on social media makes more people aware of the fact they exist. This is super important because unfortunately there are tonnes of kpop fans sleeping on our boys. Now, there is no guarantee that this will keep Boyfriend together, because I doubt they want to stay with Starship after what they did to them and honestly I'd rather Boyfriend got out of Starship anyway. But it may mean that they rejoin another company together and continue as a group, which is what I'm hoping for. This comeback is so, so important to our boys. We need to do our best to support them in every way possible. Once a Bestfriend, forever a Bestfriend. 💖

He plays piano like a boss, and composes their songs. 0:26 - Shim Hyunseong - (Born June 9, 1993) Main vocalist. HIS VOICE AND BODY CAME FROM HEAVEN. He's so fit and he can really hit those high notes and has the most adorable dimples. His personality is great, he's so sweet. 0:39 - Jo Youngmin - (Born April 24, 1995) Lead dancer, Vocalist, Visual. He's the oldest of the twins, and idk if you noticed but yes, there's twins. He has such a big charisma and he's weird in a good way. He's like a stick, he's so freaking skinny. But so lovable like all of them. 0:54 - Kim Donghyun - (February 12, 1989) Leader, lead vocalist. He's my bias, he is perfection I'm so glad he's in this world there's so much to talk abt him but I'm going to keep it short. He's talented and is determined. He still looks so young but I think he's 28. But yeah since Boyfriend is so underrated he's in The Unit and you have to check out his performances he's doing so well I'm proud. 1:57 - Jo Kwangmin - (Born April 24, 1995) Main rapper. If you haven't noticed, his rapping in this song kills. His expressions, it was like he was meant to rap his whole life. He's probably sillier and crazier than Youngmin but Kwangmin's pretty cool. Oh and I almost forgot, he rly likes Pikachu, don't ask me why Idek. ~ So that's them, let me talk abt Boyfriend in general: They're all crazy. Just kidding lol but I love them to bits they really make me laugh all the time. At the beginning they had a cutesy concept going, but then they let out some sexy bops that I can't get tired of listening. They come out with soft beautiful songs i always love. I saw the English subs for some of their songs and it made me love Boyfriend more than I thought was possible. Watch some of those, you'll understand.. It made me want to cry. They are kind of awkward but energetic and willing to do anything. They don't make a lot of videos anymore bc Starship is really bad at management. They've been ignoring them for a while now(2 year hiatus from Korea, has been promoting in Japan). Check out their Japanese songs, they never disappoint it's not that different. There could be more to talk abt them, you could look up more videos abt them so you could rly appreciate their personality. I only got into kpop like a year ago, and I have heard of Boyfriend l listened to a couple of their old songs. But I never looked at their situation, I thought they were super popular. But their situation reminds me of NUEST and Seventeen. Both NUEST and Boyfriend had shitty management and were overshadowed by new groups Like Monsta X and Seventeen. Holy shit. I remembered watching On&On 4 years ago, fresh into kpop. It was honestly my favorite thing in the entire world??? I swore I would get into Boyfriend, but I didn't, due to having being too busy with personal things. I did come back once in a while, the year after, to check up on them and listen to new songs. But, FINALLY after two years, I come back and im only now seeing this? I started crying at the 1.40 mark, because the same feeling of love and excitement I had for On&On, came flowing back.
