The Carlisle II in Sinclair Inlet, Bremerton, WA, July 6, 2024.
The Carlisle II was built in 1917 for a Bellingham-Lummi Island freight/passenger route. It was named for the salmon cannery company on Lummi Island it navigated.
In 1936, it was purchased and became a foot ferry on a Bremerton-Port Orchard route, a route it runs today.
Kitsap Transit bought the boat in 2008 and the Carlisle II remains on the Bremerton-Port Orchard route as a foot ferry. It was renovated in 2021.

The primary vessel for the Bremerton-Port Orchard route is the MV Waterman, but it wasn't seen today. Nor was the MV Admiral Pete, another small but newer foot ferry.
Filmed from the Harborside Fountain Park in Bremerton, WA, which provides a very close view of Sinclair Inlet and state ferries.
