This is from two years ago, but I would highly recommend also checking out "Take Me Now," as well as their most recent two Korean albums "I Will" and "Where is the Truth?" as well as their entire Japanese discography. Their Korean material from before they had control of their music did not do their talent justice at all.

From what they've mentioned in interviews it seems like their music influences and preferences vary a lot and covers A LOT of genres, just like their own music. Just off the top of my head: Im Jae Bum, a Korean rock balladeer, has been a huge influence on Hongki (he's not only said it himself, it's also really noticeable if you compare their ballads). Jaejin's mentioned some Western, really alternative music and Seunghyun seems to go for more calm/soft music when he does solo stages etc (like Michael Buble's Home and classical guitar pieces). Park Hyo Shin's newest album's been mentioned by one of them as well. They're also tight with Japanese rock band One Ok Rock and, if I remember correctly, have co-written songs with them, so they may have influenced each other.

there is not much interviews where they talk about it but its well known that HongKi is a huge fan of Im Jaebum, as he stated before.... and i saw Jaejin once mentioned that he was really into Western rock bands and he mentioned Imagine Dragons at the time
