Go watch IU's other dramas! My Mister and Moon Lovers are both awesome, but if the ending here disappoints you, Moon Lovers will wreck you lol.

Among the many times it's played, it's the scene where Jang Man Wol and Gu Chang Sung say goodbye and that's where this song absolutely destroys me. I've been trying to find that version of this song in that particular scene since forever (where it pauses at one point and the guitar steps in strongly). If anyone finds it, do let me know. Some people say that the love was more powerful between Jang Man Wol and Go Chung Myung, but I disagree. She loved him and then she hated him. A hate and resentment that lasted for 1,300 years. That's an awfully long time to be holding a grudge against someone. Especially since you've already punished them once and it cost them their life. She hated him still even after that... for 1,300 years. So much so that she wanted to kill him /make him pay again, even after he was already dead. You can argue that there's a fine line between love and hate and that is why it lasted for so much time. I disagree. To me, it's more proof that he was... like the opposite of a soulmate. Someone that tricks you into believing that they may be your soulmate, because of the intensity of feelings you feel towards them. But the one made for you... it's different. It's strong, but you also feel at home, calm. It's weird combination that you may not it exists, until you actually feel the right one's soul for the first time in life. Go Chung Myung had one of the worst fates in the show, for me. If not, the worst one. And he wasn't that much of a bad guy (although he did do plenty of wrong, too). But I can't help but feel sorry for him.

Thank you. Finally someone without second ml syndrome. I don't feel sorry for Go Chung Myung. The same way I wouldn't feel sorry for someone who stands silently while I am tied up watching my brother and friends being killed, knowing that it was all in part thanks to him, standing silently by the side of the woman who gave him the order to kill everyone important in my life and then going on to marry her. I don't care if he was following orders or he didn't want his family to be killed, he did an unforgivable deed. Also asking for her hand to die with him??? While knowing she loves someone else who is actually taking care of her. I also don't care about him waiting for 1000 years, the same I wouldn't care about a guy who hurt me and my loved ones knowingly and then did a big thing that shows his love. I'd rather have peace of mind and love someone without being heartbroken.
