Brilliant footage Dave. Will be shedding a tear when she finally goes. Has been a proud servant up and down the west coast for nearly 40 years. Travelled on her the first time a few weeks ago and she’s such a lovely ship it’s a shame she’s being retired. But all good things must come to an end.

Yes a real shame. It actually does make me emotional as well. I think the ferries are intertwined with us....a part of us. And that part died, but at least she had a long productive life and was appreciated. A speedy boat and comfortable too. Cheers.

Top class presentation and filming. The bowsprit saltire fluttering in the breeze against the backdrop of Brodick town. Poignant imagery indeed!! Your video wouldn't have been complete without sneaking a few shots of doggie passengers. None looked overly happy😞 though the aroma of bacon rolls wafting from the galley would, I'm sure, get those tails wagging 😅

Aw cheers. Yes I like this one myself...but of course maybe that's mostly because I like the ferry 😁

Excellent and professionally edited and shot....way higher quality than usual, ie the dissolves between music and live sea sounds, no wind noise etc. Are you using a camera as opposed to a phone ? Very well done,Dave.....more like this !

Aw thanks. Yes I have a great camera but I often don't have it with me as I'm out running with a wee phone camera instead.

Great video out of Interest how long have you worked at Brodick Ferry Terminal?

17 years so far and still there. I've seen a few changes over the time. Losing this vessel is a shame but all things come to an end eventually. Cheers

@davetheraverovingthero She is my 4th favourite vessel in the bigger fleet. My Dad used to work on the MV Saturn as the chef 13 years ago as she used to operate the Ardrossan- Brodick run from 2005-2011.
