she doenst release an age song every year, she does it when she feels like the old song doenst fit her anymore. the first one is 23, then 2 years later came pallete, and then eight came out 3 more years later. this was before jonghyun and sulli passed so there is no correlation. This is just iu singing about the things she enjoys at her current age. GD’s verse is him giving her advice as an older brother. In his rap he even calls her by her real name “Jieun” and refers to himself as her “oppa”(older brother) GD is the leader of big bang btw, a kpop legend

This song is a masterpiece. I love so much the rap letter GD wrote to IU. It's incredibly sweet. GD is part of BIGBANG a kpop group debuted in 2006 and the king of kpop, his every song is ahead of times and his person is really looked upon by both other artists and general public. You should check him out.
