Generally I don't like K-pop, but in early 2020, when I was bored during the social distancing and browsing youtube, I saw Hip and then this song, and completely felt in love with Mamamoo. The thing with K-pop is, a lot of the groups only has a main vocalist and the style is quite generic, and instrumental part is repetitive electronic beats. But MMM 's music has the subtle instrumental layers, in combination with their vocal, it's just so so captivating. Even in songs like Hip, which the singing part is not as powerful as their other hits, the subtleness of the instrumental is just awesome. I remembered watching Wanna Be Myself everyday for a week, trying to find every layers of instrumental that's there. The violin, drums, guitar, bass, synth was mixed so well, to praise their voice. And this song is just the ultimate flex in vocal I've ever seen in K-pop lol. Another thing is, Wanna Be Myself and Aya has awesome cinematography, kudo to the directors and producers lol.

She is an all-arounder. No doubt about it. Mamamoo as a whole groups doesn't lack in any aspects when it comes to the Kpop genre. What really drew me into them is thier live stages. They are one of if not the best performers in 3rd gen. Mamamoo is one of my biggest inspirations and it's very easy to see why. Also an unrelated note: This group is where I show least favoritism. I love all the members equally and I cannot say that for any other group I Stan. Each member has and still continues to prove themselves to me.

Honeslty, like every mamamoo song so far, this one was just equally amazing and mindblowing, if not more. All four members slayed but can we all just take a moment and appreciate how hard moonbyul worked to improve for us. She joined the group as a vocalist, but had to change to rap in order to debut as the other 3 were better. After debut, she had to deal with constant attacks of her being talentless, and simply riding off the talents of the other members simply because she was not a vocalist. She released covers, showcasing her smooth vocals, a section in the last comeback and even a solo, proving that she could sing better than some lead vocals in other groups. But never fully vocal in a comeback. And now shes here with her vocals to shut all those that ever doubted her. Moonbyule, youre amazing and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. May mamamoo dominate 2018 with all 4 amazing, talented and kind artists.

Moonbyul’s debut!!!! I was so shocked when she sang. It reminded of when they performed and changed the parts, and moonnyul said she was nervous to sing. But damn honey shes got a hell of a voice! I hope she can be confident when she performs. She had me fooled tbh. In MVs, they always seem to show shots of the rapper basically waiting for their part, so I thought that this would be the same deal.
