Good video 😊 how does the heat in the engine room effect operation of engine and what can you do to lower the heat maybe more engine room exhaust fans that temperature seemed high 🤔 safe travels 😊

could you tell us the ratio of the price vs. the upgrades/fixes? Also, would you have (also historically) the ration of yearly updates/fixes vs. the value of the boat? I know that for sailing boats the consensus is around 10% yearly...

Nice recap and yep I'm the guy with the calculator trying to figure out NMPG as you went along😊 It seemed pretty consistent around 1.5, is that what you were expecting? Question, why didn't you fill all the way up in Anacortes since the fuel was cheap? Doesn't the boat hold more than 1,800 gallons? Does running full create issues?

Hey there! Yep, 1.5 is about what we expected. We weren’t always running at optimum efficiency, so we were pleased. As far as fuel in Anacortes, yes! We should have added more at that price. We hold 2000 gallons. A couple reasons we didn’t- 1) we were there at closing time and were kind of rushed the day we were filling. 2) We were still calibrating the tanks and didn’t know for sure how much each one held or had in it, so we didn’t want to risk overflow. 3) We could have gone back another day, without the high quantity discount, but all of a sudden a weather window opened up and we left kind of suddenly. In retrospect, we could have made the time…maybe we even should have filled up our 250 gallon fuel bladder 😂 Cheers- thanks for following along!

@mvnoeta Okay got it on the fuel, life situation vs. technical issue with being totally full.👍

Thank you for sharing.... Would it be possible to obtain parts needed from other vendors "not marine graded" that is actually the same? produced to the same standards? I've seen parts for cars, let's say a Mercedes, made by Opel or Ford - THE SAME PART - that you could get for half the price now that it isn't branded "Mercedes".... I know in Aviation that is a big "No-go" - but Marine? I mean you don't dive out of the water if a part fails, as could be the case in Aviation..... Merry Christmas to both - sorry - the three of you..

Hey there - Sometimes there are proprietary items (John Deere, Lugger etc) so we have to go with name brands. And we've found that with marine products, you get what you pay for. When we've tried to not go 'marine', the quality just isn't there and the items don't last in harsh salt water/marine environments. You really need quality stainless and wiring. We haven' t found any yet, that weren't 'marine', but if anyone has, we're all ears!! Merry Christmas back at ya! Cheers! (Gilligan is asleep and so not commenting at the moment)
