OH MY GIRL is releasing the 2nd mini album [CLOSER] and coming back with a mysterious and dreamlike look
The title ‘CLOSER’ talks about a pure girl who doesn’t know anything. It is a song that talks about her desperate feeling towards someone with a dreamlike code and instrument structure, along with a touching melody. Sean Alexander, who made many hit songs in Japan and Korea such as Girls’ Generation’s Lion Heart, SHINee’s AMIGO, TAEYANG’s Sinner, SS501’s Love Like This, worked with the United State’s sentimental ballad top liner Laura Brian for three years to make EXO’s Growl FX’s Electric Shock. This time the special lyric writer Seo Ji eum joined to make the song even more perfect.

IT DIDN'T?!? When I first saw it on Simply Kpop I FELL IN LUV. And back then I usually was a total boy group stan (just the preferred music style and darker voices) and you tell me it didn't got any win? 데뷔 초반부터 오마이걸 좋아했지만 진짜 내 최애곡은 변함없이 이노래임.. 계속 들어도 질리지 않고 중독성있음 노래도 아련하고 보컬도 꽉차고 오마이걸만에 청순하고 몽환적인 매력이 잘 담긴 노래인 것 같기도 함

걸그룹 몽환계 명곡 오브 띵곡. 공기가 선선해지고 가을의 느낌이 물씬 느껴지면 정말 평소보다 더 많이 듣게 되는 곡. 타이틀 곡은 물론 수록곡들까지 모두 다 주옥같다. 하지만 활동 당시 곡 길이도 길고 그룹 인지도도 많이 없던지라 무대에서 한 곡을 다 부르지도 못하고 짧게 편집한 곡으로 불러야만 했던 그때의 오마이걸. 클로저때부터 쭉 지켜보았던지라 어려운 무명시절 꿋꿋이 버텨내고서 오마이걸의 이름이 조금씩 알려지며 1등하는 곡들이 점점 생길수록 진짜 뿌듯하다. 말 그대로 성장형. 하지만 이제 성장은 그만하고 다른 대형 기획사의 아이돌 그룹들처럼 그냥 대박이 나주면 안되는걸까? 너무 큰 욕심인지도 모르겠지만 그런 날이 있다면 이제 조만간일듯 싶다. 정말 열손가락처럼 안아까운 멤버가 없는 그룹 오마이걸, 생각보다 자신들을 지켜봐주고 응원해주는 팬이 많다는 것을 알고 어깨 펴고, 당당히 씩씩하게 활동해주면 더 바랄 여한이 없다. 오마이걸 화이팅!

OMG like it so much that they turned this song into a kpop song and BOOM, this masterpiece was produced. Maybe because this song was written for a Christian praise song but because OMG liked it so much they got it & turned it into a kpop song. I hate how underrated Oh My Girl is. People say that they are not special and just like any "cute" girl group. But if they had just taken some time to actually watch their music videos and live performances then they would know that Oh My Girl is the most unique girl group in K-Pop right now. and even if a song seems like a "typical" gg song ...it's not. I remember when I watched their cupid performance. I thought "something about those girls is different. this song is somewhat different from other "cute" concept songs" OMG has been releasing the most amazing music since debut and people aren't even giving them a chance... *But the way I see it (and that already since they debuted) they are extremely special and imo the best and most unique girl group of this generation*
